Default VoxCommando Configurations

When you install VoxCommando, you can choose one of many preset configurations that have been designed to work "out of the box" with various media players.

These default configurations ensure that the appropriate plugins are already enabled for communicating with particular applications, requiring only the necessary customization for your particular system (such as setting passwords and scanning your media libraries).

The language for the user interface and speech recognition are also set. You can always change this later in Options.

Each configuration comes pre-packaged with commonly used voice commands in the appropriate language. You can always delete, customize, or add new commands once you become more familiar with VoxCommando.

You can also switch to a different configuration later, or combine configurations.

A very good way to learn how to properly build your own commands is to examine or try to adapt those that come with your configuration.

Available Default Configurations

Choose from the following configurations when you install VoxCommando.

English

French (Français)

German (Deutsch)

Russian (русский язык)

  • Basic
  • XBMC 12+

Spanish (Español)

  • MediaPortal
  • XBMC 13+ (Gotham)

Portuguese (pt-br)

  • Portuguese (PT-br) commands for use with XBMC Frodo. This configuration has some English commands mixed in.

Contributing Translations

The translated configurations that come with VoxCommando were generously contributed by members of our user community. We can't thank them enough for their efforts.

Should you have the desire and time to translate a command set and/or UI into your native language, and:

  1. it is an officially supported language;
  2. you have the necessary linguistic competence to accurately translate a set of commands;
  3. you are already comfortable using VoxCommando ...
