windows media center plugin
« on: September 14, 2010, 12:02:13 AM »
so where do i find this plug in? i am using windows 7 64 bit.

also i am trying to start windows media center by using a special launch command that is using entry points. c:\windows\ehome\ehshell.exe /entrypoint:{ce32c570-4bec-4aeb-ad1d-cf47b91de0b2}\{fc9abccc-36cb-47ac-8bab-03e8ef5f6f22

But anything added after ehsheel.exe windows media center wont start

what i want to do is say "movies" and that would bring me straight into the movies folder.

If i make a desktop short cut it works. but putting this into voxcamando nothing happens.

that's right.   Let us know if that works.  Thanks rudmei.

I just wanted to mention that while the && is still correct, the rest of that illustration in the post that rudmei linked to is completely out of date!  The command structure has completely changed since I created that image.

I can confirm that this works.  I don't have that particular entry point but I was able to jump to music using a command line switch and to Chess Titans using an entry point.

drag the attached xml onto your command tree to import it for an example.

Also a good reference for anyone else looking to do this or use other command line switches can be found here:
http://www.hack7mc.com/2009/05/media-center-command-line-switches.html

No doubt there are other good references to be found.

here's the string for the chess entrypoint:
c:\windows\ehome\ehshell.exe&&/entrypoint:{3C1BB651-D564-46a7-99BA-8D40BCB6FA7D}\{115EADF1-41C4-471b-8FE5-7A52B91BFE75}
