On Sreen dialogue box

Despite having 'Show OSD on Command', 'Show OSD alternatives' & 'Only show OSD/alternates if command is executed' all deselected, I'm getting the OSD (in Kodi) for all command VC hears, whether it actions them or not?
VC version 2.2.0.7
Kodi version 16.0

It sounds like you are using the settings for VoxCommando's OSD (in Options).

The settings for Kodi's OSD notifications are in the xJson plugin.
