Kalle's suggestion was a perfectly logical one. But if turning VC off and on manually does not help, then the mic reset feature will not help either, and that option should normally only be used as a last resort.
Does it happen when you use a "normal" configuration. Or only with your "crazy" configurations?
I do see an out of memory exception so it could be related to that.
It could be related to the fact that you are using a Mac, but probably not.
Did this only start to happen recently?
What seems to be happening is that the speech engine is getting frozen and actually can't turn off, and so it also can't turn on again. I've never seen that happen before though so I assume you have some kind of problem either with your system resources, or with your VC configuration. It is kind of hard to diagnose from here.
