Wemo Plugin

James,

    Thanks for officially adding a Wemo plugin.  It works.  However partial.  I have several Wemos.  I have a plug, an insight plug, motion detector, and 2 wall light switches and VC only finds the initial plug and not the others.  Do you have any idea as to why?

Not really.  I would have expected them all to work except for the motion sensor which is not a switch and so should not show up.

I only have the first type of switch that you have shown so that was the only one that I could test with.

Are you able to control the other switches you have using the tcp method that we suggested before I made the plugin?

Try replacing the plugin dll with the attached and let me know if it works any differently.

When I did that the plugin completely disappeared.

Oh well. Better go back to the old one.

The new version works fine for me, but I only have the one type of device, and it could be that one of your other devices is crashing it.

You never answered my question.

You might need to unblock the dll file because Windows may detect that it was downloaded and block it to make your life "easier".

Right-click the wemo.dll
select properties
click "unblock" at the bottom

I cannot answer your initial question cause I never tried it that way prior to the plugin.

This unblock solution you suggested almost works but crashes every time.  It does detect the Wemos and the toggle works but still, it crashes.

Hi Dominique.  Thanks posting that video.  It looks like it is the motion sensor that is causing problems.  Can you please try unplugging it and then test the plugin again to see if it works.  If it does then we can go on to the next step to try to figure out how to fix it so that the plugin will ignore only the sensor.

Hmmm, it appears you were right.  It was the motion sensor.

Could you now tell me how I can get these to toggle with voice commands?

Also, do you see a SmartThings plugin anytime soon?

You don't know how to create your own commands?  You should check out the wiki and the many video tutorials we have created so that you can learn how to create your own commands.

I asked because there was nothing in the voicecommands tree for the wemo.  I had showed you in my video.  

I looked at the link before I even made this thread and it doesnt really say anything about altering the voice commands for toggling the Wemo devices.
