VC Does Not Return to Ready Mode When Computer Wakes
« on: December 05, 2013, 03:03:43 PM »
Recently, I have noticed that when my computer returns from sleep mode.  Vox Commando does not return to a ready state.  I always have to click on the green mic to make it active again.  Is this normal?  If so, is there a way to have it connect and be ready to take commands when the computer returns from wake mode automatically?

The reason I ask is because there are times when I may issue a command via my ISY to wake the computer from another part of the house and while on the other side of the house, using my plantronics cs60 mic.  I would like to issue a command to VC without having to go over to the computer to activate VC.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

I think this is a part of your Windows system that the mic goes also in sleep modus - take a look in VC options -> advanced setting ->  set a number of seconds on "Time to Reinitialize Microphone" maybe this can help - take also a look in our Wiki here: http://voxcommando.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Options#Time_to_Reinitialize_Microphone

I'm not sure if VC create a event when the system resume from sleep mode - if yes - copie this event by drag and drop from VC history window to the listen command in your command tree.

Yes it does, and this is probably the best way to deal with this issue.  Use the event to trigger a command that sets VC.off then VC.on

Using the event to trigger the vc on command seemed to have worked.  Thanks for your help.
