Getting / downloading different speech engines from?
« on: December 04, 2015, 01:07:22 AM »
I have the Microsoft Server Speech recognition engine in my VC.

I can't find any links to other speech engine downloads.
Problem with the Microsoft one is it doesn't appear to allow dictation. (Unless I am doing something stupid)

Appreciate any help. Thanks.
Chances are I've searched the forum, searched the wiki & scoured You Tube but I'm just to thick to work it out without help!

Hi SteveB69,

I hope this will help you a bit and make some things clear about speech engines: https://youtu.be/9hVNy20tIBI?t=812  (the link will point you to 13 min 29 sec in the video in which James talk about the dictation in the SP version)

The Speech Platform 11 can't handle payload dictation. The SP-Version (VoxCommandoSP.exe) is more for non english-speaking users, because there are a lot of different languages available - http://voxcommando.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=MS_Speech_Platform

For most english-speaking users, the Microsoft Desktop Engine (VoxCommando.exe) is the best option - http://voxcommando.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Installation

If you want to use dictation you should use the regular version of VoxCommando Not SP.

TIPS: POST VC VERSION #. Explain what you want VC to do. Say what you've tried & what happened, or post a video demo. Attach VC log. Link to instructions followed.  Post your command (xml)
