I don't have an iPhone so there is no benefit to me on that part and the only extra feature that the iPhone has is the battery indicator, which is no big deal because the headset talks to you and tells you when the battery is low and if you press the power button at anytime it will tell you the battery level, also there is a battery icon on the windows task bar that is very accurate it even shows up when the unit is charging to show you when it is fully charged.

After some more researching I found that the + does stand for version two, which is the one I would suggest due to the A2DP support, meaning that you can send audio out to the headset and use the keys on the headset to control audio / video playback. V2 Also has good Skype support and will switch betten Skype and your Cell phone base on which the call is comming in on and will put skype / cell phone in away mode while you take the call. V2 is the version that will go into standby mode when you take the headset off your head but you can always press the button on the mic boom to do the same.

Hi, don't forget the bluetooth range. I have read many recessions for the plantronics headset and all users say, the voice quality will
decreases strongly with the distance.

I live in a very old home, the inside supporting walls are a little over 12in thick and the distance between my room and the computer is roughly 16 1/2 feet. That is the max that I have tested the range and at that rand it seemed to work fine. I don't normally have my phone that far away from me so I have not tested call quality on my mobile at that range. However, from my bed to the computer, Vox still worked fine and could understand me. My bed room is on the same floor as my computer so I don't know how this will differ if using it on two separate floors.

I use to own another Bluetooth headset and as I recall I could not make it out the room without hearing lots of static to the point of making it unusable so maybe the broadband option comes into play here to increase the bandwidth, I have never tested it with narrowband so I don't know how that will affect the quality.

So far it seems to work for my needs but I cannot say the same for anyone else. I can only recommend it based on my own setup and environment.

Thanks for your explanation. If you could perform a range check, it would be interesting for other users.

Thanks for all the information you have provided so far.  I only wish that these could be picked up at "box stores" so that we could test them for ourselves and decide if they are worth keeping for the money.  Mail order is always a pita if you want to return stuff, even if they will let you return something simply because you don't like it, you still have to deal with all the shipping hassles.
