Boot into Vox Commando
« on: March 05, 2011, 11:02:32 PM »
This is probably a questiion I should be able to figure out for myself, but I have spent a couple of hours researching and so far nothing.  I would like to have Vox Commando open when I boot the computer.  That way I can start voice commands immediately instead of manually starting the program.  Can anybody help me with this?  ???

right click on Voxcommando.exe, create new shortcut and copy it to the Startup folder of Windows. Thats all  ;)

[UPDATE: There is now a setting in VC Options to automatically start VoxCommando when you log in to Windows: http://voxcommando.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Main_Menu#Options - nime5ter]

Thank you for the quick reply.  I should have said I am using Windows 7.  I do not see the startup folder that you describe.  I looked in the Windows folder, but nothing.

on my win7 32 bit machine it is found like this:

Windows Start button >> All programs >> Startup

and the actual folder on my hard drive is:

C:\Users\james\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

(replace 'james' with your username)

Everyone on this forum is always helpful, thank you.  However, none of the suggestions helped me.  Here is how I did it and I think it will work on any Win 7 configuration:
1. Click on Start
2. Click on All Programs
3 Right click on Startup
4 Click on "All Users"
5.Copy the shortcut to Vox Commando as Kalle said to create.
6. Paste into the All Users folder and Vox Commando Shortcut will appear.
7. Reboot
8. Windows will bring up a box asking if you want to run this program.
9. Uncheck the box that says Ask Every Time and click Yes.
10.  You have Vox Commando at Startup!    ;D
