Version 0.8741 Patch

Official release candidate VoxCommando 0.875 is here.

It is available on the main web site.  There is no longer a free version on the website, just the trial, which can be purchased and activated.

I have now combined all the installs and the patch into a single file to download.  If you run it in an existing VC folder it will patch (warning: it will overwrite your bin.xml)

If you run it in an empty folder it will install a fresh copy.  Then when you run voxCommando.exe, it will ask you to select a standard configuration (iTunes, MediaMonkey, XBMC etc.)

I now need to work on the wiki: installation instructions.

To my faithful and very helpful core users (you know who you are).  Please test it when you get a chance!  Test the patching, test a fresh install.  Once I am more sure that there are no big mistakes I will start a new thread and make an announcement.  Thanks for your continued support!

Once this is done I can start working again on documentation and tutorials to explain the new features etc.

I Tested all pacthing with new version 0.875 - fresh install, it´s ok...very done, no problem.

Very good...in fresh install one repair, in option Speech Language is blank, i have set manually, this is true for language interface too.

thanks.  blank speech options for fresh install are intentional.  They will default to the system setting.  I think...

If I had it set to English, and someone ran it on a version of windows that had no English, I'm not sure what would happen.

My concern at this point is that in my experience, many try to use without even setting, then the lack of information in that field vox will not work correctly, and will find that the program has problems.

What kind of problems do you have if you run it with those settings left as blank?

For me it seems to run fine.

If OS in PT BR, and blank there, not worked..

Taking into account of course the English language pack is installed properly, so had a few cases, to inform them that they needed to put the language on the field solved the problem, but I think this scenario applies only in cases like this mentioned.

Has this been tested in version 0.875 though?  I changed the way the code deals with languages at startup recently...

Did you test with the NEW version and blank settings in options?

I have English on all my OS and it works fine.  If I set it to English, and someone does not have English, this might cause problems...

I tested this situation only in older version vox, no tested in new version 0.875, then i don´t say if work, if language speech is empty.

In my install 0.875, OS in english, field language speech is blank, but i set this English US after install.

I tested the installation process and everything works. The only fault is with the empty installation (see picture). Convenient would be if the installer installed by selection to an existing VC folder, or generates a new folder, eg VC0875, but that's just cosmetic. The problem has Wanilton I could understand now because I've installed the German language pack only.

I know!!!  I think I found the source of the problem (something was being copied automatically from the old version  )

I updated the version online now called "0.875 (b)" with the new available commands, and fixed the blank configuration payload problem that  Kalle mentioned.  I think it will be ok now!  I hope...
