feature request
« on: January 08, 2011, 08:20:52 PM »
Is there any way to get some sort of xbmc addon support? like 'computer launch addon subtitles' would launch the subtitles addon.
I only really use the subtitle addon, but i reckon there are other VC users who use other addons or scripts.
Since i use subtitles for most of my movies/series (so i don't have to turn up the volume when eating popcorn etc) i still have to press the subtitle addon button (embeded in the transparency skin) with my remote, while i can control everything else with my voice.

Grtz

If there is a button for it, we can do it.  I just need to know what button it is.  I'm not familiar with the transparency skin.  Any info you can give me?

Thanks Wanilton,

Those are useful new commands, the subtitle delay commands will be handy.  I think Painy wants to launch  the subtitles addon, which allows you to download subtitles.

It may be a question of figuring out how to run the script...  I figured out how to run scripts a while back.  I will have to take a look on my laptop to see if I still have that command...  Painy whatever information you can give us on the addon will help.

This works, and there are two other 'bonus' commands in there :)

Painy: Now you just need to get VC to recognize the sound of you eating popcorn as the command to download subtitles.  ;)

While i'm at it...
The 'generate xml' command, I've noticed that I still have to manually restart VC before this works in XBMC.
Is there any way you could add an automatic VC restart to this command?

can't you just make a macro that does one after the other?

Sorry, didn't know the restart command at the time i asked, but i found it.
Does VC wait until the previous (generate xml) command is finished before restarting? or should i add a wait time in between

I think it waits.
