Getting the relay project to work
« on: November 27, 2017, 12:33:03 PM »
Hello all, definitely a noob here, engineering student looking for help. Thank you all that run these forums, your entrepreneurial streak is appreciated.

I stumbled on the youtube video posted a few years ago here:

I ordered the gear, followed the instructions, and nothing happens. I've gone over everything (as far as wiring goes, and firewall) and all seems well. There are no rx/tx lights (only when uploading to the Mega), so that means nothing is leaving the PC. I attached all of the files and logs that may help someone figure it out.

This is a windows 10 64bit home machine. VoiceCommands version="2.2.3.8"

Hi and welcome to the forum! :)

According to the logs, there is something wrong with your Python file. I see that at least the py file you uploaded is missing the file extension. This could be the issue. The file itself looks good to me.

Greetings, Dave

Hi Dave, thanks.... Yes Sir! I saved as txt instead of adding the py, what a simple fix.
Works like a boss and fun to play with!

Yes, of course it is possible.

Without knowing how you want to integrate it with Tasker we cannot offer much in the way of a constructive answer.
