BEAM IR/RF Wifi transceiver

We have designed a complete new IR/RF Blaster "Beam Sphere" which works without the mysensor stuff and it is complete autonomous and need no gateway. It works perfect with VoxCommando and also stand alone with any software or app which can send http requests. We can't give you the source code, because it was a lot of work and manpower to create this device, but we will make in the next time (maybe in January) an offer.


The device has at the moment following features:


1. connecting over WiFi to your Network
2. can send IR and RF signals (315/433MHz)
4. has a web user interface
3. can learn IR/RF signals
4. show you all states (like send, learn, error, admin mode) by RGB colors
5. will be powered by an 5V Mirco-USB plug
6. works with VoxCommando.
7. It  can also create events in VoxCommando
8. a connector for ext. emitters
9. OTA update (the device firmware can be updated over the air) by selecting a given bin file in the Blaster-UI. This make it easy to bring new features to the device.

A working prototype which looks like exact as above is finished and if you can not really wait, I will to discuss it with Dave and James if it makes sense to send you such a device for testing and only the material costs.

For your reference will be testing the following:

1) Livolo wall switch/dimmer (RF)
2) Electrical projector screen (RF)
3) Telco wireless plug switches (RF)
4) Various other infrared (TV, Projector, Receiver, led lamps)
5) Garage Door (RF)

3+4 will probably work.  Not sure about the rest.  Can you check what frequency your various RF devices are operating at?

this caught my eye as the hp media remote receivers work well but could be better and could look a lot better too, all of mine are IR, so if you need another tester you can add me to the list as well  ;D

So really this device should be viewed (for now) only as a device used to control other devices, not for receiving signals.

Thanks for pointing that out, I should have read kalle's description better,

if you ever get to the point where you need testers for using it as a receiver / emitter I will be more then happy to help out

Hi James,

any specific reason you think the livolo switch will not work? I suspect it is 433rf device. In case it does not work is there any similar wireless wall led switch/dimmer that you can recommend for similar use?

No. I just said I'm not sure. It may well work but the RF  library we use supports certain protocols only and not raw codes. The device does support raw IR though so just about any IR device should work.

Maybe Kalle or Dave can recommend something. I am in North America.

Based on this post it looks like maybe the Livolo will not work unless you want to try to write custom code for the blaster.

Hi guys, I had a question about the livolo device, because it sound to me that the device is programable with any RF code like the new Intertechno devices.


So my question is: Can learn the livolo switches code from a remote?


For example: all new Intertechno switches goes in a learning mode for 5 seconds when you pluged it in a wall socket (a led is blinking slow on the device) and you can press a button on any RF remote to switch the device on or off and then the code will be stored in the switch.


If it is so, you can use our Blaster to switch the device by sending a self created code which is equivalent to our RF protocol.


Mhh, hard to explain - I think I will record a video with the device.
