VC.Restart (Quick or Full)

Hi guys i have a question

Sometimes i lose my json connection between VC pc and KODI pc
I don't know how it happen (not very often) but all i know is that all VC need is a restart.

I'm just tryin to using the VC.Restart (quick or full) but with both of them i have the same error: not available

Is it because i'm using the demo and not the full complete version?
I swear i'm not trying to bypass the 40 command limit.

I'm using 2.0 version.

Hi nikeb,

What exactly do you mean by "lose my json connection"?  VC does not actually maintain a connection with Kodi except for events that are received from Kodi.  When you give a voice command that tells Kodi what to do, a new connection is created each time.

Yes, the full restart action is disabled in the demo version to try to prevent abuse.  I'm not sure about the quick restart but it would not solve your problem anyway.

I just tested and VC.RestartQuick works in the trial version as it should.

Sorry, i explained it in the wrong way:

The json connection from VC to Kodi always works perfectly.

Sometimes VC (or Kodi) loses the connection from Kodi to VC,
i'm talking about the subscribe of the notifications from Kodi on the (default) 9090 port.

I tried again the VC.RestartQuick and works now (but i swear it didn't).

How about the VC.RestartFull ?

As James mentioned above, VC.RestartFull can't be used in the trial version.

For your issue, you can try to re-establish the connection using the action XJson.Connect
