Prefix Not Working Correctly...

I just started playing with the prefix option and I thought it was working. However, I tested it later without saying my designated prefix and my commands still worked. I'm attaching an image of the options page in case I have missed something.

did you make sure you did a full restart of VC after you made the changes to your prefix settings

Yup. I've restarted it several times since. Even my entire pc! Haha.

Had to check, I've had it where I forgot to restart VC and the changes worked for a little while and then it stopped working,

when I used prefix's I only used 3 different ones, so I'm not sure if it has to do with the amount of prefix's you are using,

try and use only one prefix and see if the problem still happens

if so you will probably need to "Enable Log" and upload the log file after trying a couple commands with and with out the prefix so jitterjames or nime5ster can take a look at what is going on

Yeah, I just left one prefix in and it's still working even when I leave the prefix out of my voice command. Weird. I'm attaching the log.

I'm not familiar with reading the log files, but for me it looks like you are using VoxWay. Is that right? VoxWav doesn't use the prefix-mode and will even work when VC is in off-mode.

Ha! Well then, I guess that's the problem right there. I'll be using an Acoustic Magic Voice Tracker when I have everything set up, so I suppose it'll just be a temporary problem.

Dave hit the nail on the head 


If you use VoxWav - your commands will work also when VC is in Off-Mode or Standby-Mode.
