I have just started with VC and have had some good results integrating with my HA setup
The system I am using is Loxone (

I am setting up an open-air array based on aussie mate's post here:

just a single mic in the lounge so far, ceiling mounted in the centre of the room. the MC22 is cardiod so its directed toward the couch
feedback is an array of these screwed to the ceiling:
http://www.surplustronics.co.nz/products/6520-70mm-flat-panel-exciter-speaker-getting around 80-90% of the commands to work, without any tweaking, in a quiet room. maybe 50-60% when the tv is on, so i will have to adjust some of the gating levels etc
commands ive setup so far are turn on the lights, open the gate, open the door, and run a bath ... video to come
