Voxcommando and an unsupported media system
« on: December 30, 2013, 02:44:40 AM »
Hello,

I'm currently using Voxcommondo in a fairly limited way to send commands to my home automation/theater control system via EventGhost and http.  I'd like to expand this to include media selection.  Fortunately, my control system has a simple http interface that Event Ghost can generate, if only I have a good way to have VoxCommando get artist, album, and other info.  Is there any way to tie into other existing media interfaces?  I was thinking I could always grab the XMBC source and use it's interfaces with a little extra code to generate html requests but it'd be nice if there was another way...

I appreciate any thoughts anyone has this.
Thanks!

Hi ggraef,

Yes. This type of thing is usually possible.

What have you tried so far?

What are these mysterious applications and interfaces that you mentioned?
