VC (VoxCommand0) only runs on Vista and Windows7.  If you have xbmc running on your apple tv you can probably still send commands to it form a windows PC running VC.

Sure.  What version of XBMC are you running on the apple TV?

You are going to run VC on a windows computer that is on the same LAN as the ATV, yes?

Do you know the IP address of the ATV?

P.S., welcome to the forum  :D

The YouTube video covers pretty much every thing.

Also see here:  http://voxcommando.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Installation_XBMC

Pay particular attention to setting the correct IP address and port, and make sure your firewall is not blocking you.

In XBMC settings you must be sure to enable "allow programs on other systems to control XBMC"

Set the IP address of you ATV in both the voxcommando/options/XBMC tab and in the VoxCommando xjson plugin.

I also recommend that you start with version 1.1 of VC. http://voxcommando.com/forum/index.php?topic=1082

It depends on the plugin but the default setup for frodo only includes commands for doing a YouTube search.  It is possible to do more if you can figure out how to talk to the plugin using the JSON API.

Try this and tell us what happens.

On the main VC folder click Gen XML >> gen XBMC Frodo >> xJSON
