VoxCommando with XBMC on Linux - A Tutorial
« on: January 13, 2012, 02:59:44 PM »
Hello friends,

Here is a tutorial I put together after I successfully setup and used VoxCommando to control XBMC running on a Linux box. The key difference here being, there is no Windows box involved, at least not in the physical sense!

Click the link below and read on to find out how you can do it -

I'd appreciate it if Linux users can try this and post your feedback here.

cheers

I just noticed this today. What a fantastic contribution, thanks Ajith!
TIPS: POST VC VERSION #. Explain what you want VC to do. Say what you've tried & what happened, or post a video demo. Attach VC log. Link to instructions followed.  Post your command (xml)

Ajith, a  great doc/tutorial probably the one thing missing here is a bit more clearer doc.  Great stuff.  Amazed you got Win7 to run with w/ a very very small resource footprint?  This makes me think should be possible in my Acer Revo 1600....hmm.
The available mics poses a question so for now, I'm thinking of still using my remote Mac with VirtualBox Win7 setup but nice to now if I try with my Revo it could work without me buying/building a new box.
Cheers.
