AudioEndpoint?
« on: May 10, 2015, 05:23:27 PM »
I recently decided to migrate my VC installation to a new machine after updating the latest version of VC on my existing Win7 implementation and use the newest VoxWav app.
I backedup my VC Folder
Created a new VM virgin system install of win8.1pro
I copied my VC folder to new machine.
I reran setup to a different folder, after realizing missing a prerequisite. C++ pkg the installler installs for you.
Everything mostly seems ok, but I noticed the AudioEndpoint plug shows checked but I do not see the plugin config window and the plugin otherwise I do not believe is working.
When i tried to test some commands in the command editor the logs show.

5/10/2015 3:16:01 PM   407   Action ERROR: Unknown base action:AudioEndpoint
5/10/2015 3:16:01 PM   407   action repeat set to: 1

Take a look in your VC directory's Plugins > audioendpoint folder.

What files do you see?

Any duplicates?

TIPS: POST VC VERSION #. Explain what you want VC to do. Say what you've tried & what happened, or post a video demo. Attach VC log. Link to instructions followed.  Post your command (xml)

Ive tried seperate install in different folder
VC2.142
Again this was a virgin system install from Win8.1pro iso media from MS
Im trying to use the latest VoxWav app and designate the audio output to bluetooth speaker to get TTS feedback on a system in another room.
Which works but seem to cant keep it stable
I can affirm this endpointcontroller.dll is in my root VC directory and not the plugin folder for audioendpoint

Try disabling your antivirus software.

There may not be that many users who use this plugin but there is no problem running it on our Win7 systems.

By the way I don't think you should need this plugin to send your TTS to a specific output, this plugin is for playing audio files on a non default output.

OK thanks James, I did set a filter in AV for VC.
I dont think I have used the AudioEndpoint plugin in the past so I thought it may help my stability issues.  But getting audio feedback has long been one my want list for my implementation and I just knew I have seen the plugin window in the past...and thought I'd pass it on. Tried to look at the wiki and was trying to reinforce the audio channel / output to use.

Just weird is I can get it to work and still WMP sample audio still works and the sound/volume mixer looks good but VC stops outputting audio ...so that was why I was trying to force the audio out.

Hi! I'm using VC on my Zotac Pico PI320 since a few days. Unfortunately I can't load the AudioEndpoint plugin. I tried a clean install and both VC 2.1.4.8 and 2.2.0.7. Disabling my anti virus software did not help. When I copy the complete VC folder to my laptop everything works fine. A log file is attached. My Zotac is running Windows 8.1 with Bing. Could this cause this issue?  ::dis

Kalle has the same Zotac and will try if he has the same problem tomorrow.

Yes, I can confirm that the audioendpoint plugin doesn't run on my Zotac Pico with Win8.1.
