Mobile phone Call and Text notification
« on: September 24, 2014, 02:18:33 PM »
I have a great app that links my Smart Phone notifications to PC/Mac Desktops as notifications, this has some great features for example it shares your PC/Mac Clipboard with the phone. But a great idea is to have it so email, text, call information can be shared as voice notifications so as your phone rings you get a voice notification to who is calling,  and voice information to say you have a text and option to read out.

If you want to notify VC with incoming calls, check http://www.w7callerid.com ... I think you can make it work, I know it can send info to xbmc and WMC ...
When Voice command gets tough, use hand gestures

I'm pretty sure you can do this with Tasker.

No it’s not spam but I can see I was singing its praises.
I came across the app and the Voxcommando possibilities and if this was a Voxcommando feature it would be an advantage.
I have been looking into this and the term Tasker has been used long with an early Eventghost plugin however the plugin version I found crashed Eventghost when using the plugin, early days I guess.

Early days for what?  The eventGhost plugin?  I can't comment on that since I don't know what plugin you are talking about.

You put this post in "feature requests" but it is not clear to me what feature you think should be added to VoxCommando.

If you are using Android, you can currently use Tasker to do a variety of things, including sending messages to VoxCommando.  Tasker is very popular stable and well supported and it is certainly not early days for it.

@Shelts.

Welcome to the forum. Like James, I'm not exactly sure what plugin you're referring to or what you'd like to see in VC, but if you're referring to the Pushbullet plugin for Eventghost, I'm wondering if you've seen this Eventghost thread yet: http://www.eventghost.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5709

It looks like Pako re-worked the original Pushbullet plugin, so maybe you'll have better luck with that. And he's provided a lot of support in that thread, so if you're having problems, I recommend reading through the thread.

VC & Eventghost communicate in both directions quite easily, so that may meet your needs.
TIPS: POST VC VERSION #. Explain what you want VC to do. Say what you've tried & what happened, or post a video demo. Attach VC log. Link to instructions followed.  Post your command (xml)

Hi Guys.....

I was not very clear here but I will explain what I am looking for and my new findings....

I started using Pushbullet as an onscreen Call, email, text desktop notification. I thought an audible notification with options for reply etc would be great.

I have looked into this and found a Pushbullet Eventghost addon but it failes to work for me, I looked into Tasker but I cant find the integration to send Call, Text details when a call is coming in within eventghost.

I then found that the Eventghost Andriod version that automatically broadcasts over my wifi from my Mobile phone to my Eventghost client where as I can then broadcast to Voxcommando to audibly to notify me I have "An incoming call" or “incoming text”, I nice feature to have if my phone is not to hand....

so I am asking that this kind of feature would be great if expanded upon so to have options for instance to choose what to send to voxcommando, to reply with predefined options like "call later” etc.

Unless there is a great tool to do this?
