Question About SAPI 5 Tags
« on: July 30, 2014, 05:31:34 PM »
I remember reading about it in some post or in the wiki, but I couldn't find it again ...

Does VC support passing SAPI 5 tags ? I tried to use them in the What Can I Say command (http://voxcommando.com/forum/index.php?topic=1684.0) ... but VC ended up reading the tag instead of applying it ...

a good example: <silence msec="500"/> that will make VC pause while looping through matches ... or may be inserting language ID as some voices supporting multiple languages started to appear ( this is really good here in Quebec where things kind of mix  English and French) or even make VC sing using pitch !!! ... etc.

Yes but you must have some kind of tag at the very beginning of the text to enable tag processing.

TIPS: POST VC VERSION #. Explain what you want VC to do. Say what you've tried & what happened, or post a video demo. Attach VC log. Link to instructions followed.  Post your command (xml)

Acknowledged :) ... I started to put silence tags in the beginning of the phrases to avoid using VC.pause or where it is impossible to put VC.pause, ie. repeating tts with #m
