Output sound
« on: July 01, 2014, 08:39:22 PM »
I currently have a laptop running vox, instead of leaving my computer or receiver on all the time.

To get feedback from vox, what's the best way to hear vox response without leaving my computer on or receiver. Also, I would like to receive feedback throughout the house.

... I'm not sure how you can run VC when your computer is off?  ???

Or do you mean that you have a laptop computer and a desktop computer, and possibly, a receiver that is connected to your desktop PC currently?

Anyhow, it depends what kind of sound you have in mind. If you have an Android device, the simplest solution is probably to use VoxWav Pro.

Or, use Bluetooth speakers, paired to your laptop. You can choose the output for TTS using the action TTS.SetOutput.

TIPS: POST VC VERSION #. Explain what you want VC to do. Say what you've tried & what happened, or post a video demo. Attach VC log. Link to instructions followed.  Post your command (xml)

You could use an FM radio transmitter.

Actually, I like the Bluetooth speakers idea.

I don't have a Bluetooth speaker so I can't say for sure, but there are two potential problems.

1 - Range.  Depending on the size of your house it might be an issue

2 - Broadcasting to multiple speakers might not be possible with Bluetooth.  I don't really know.

Or you could just use one speaker... really loud so that you can hear it from anywhere in the house.  :biglaugh
