Problem with Prefix on version 0.843 playlist

Hi James,

i have tested Ver843MM and that is it (for me ;-)), but the prefixmode not working. When i said prefix "monkey"- "play song ..." i see the command in VC with over 90 precent, but he will not run (the command ist not in red).
The bar with audio warnings is better now, and i found my mic works better, but could also be just imagination.
I have seen in the VC-folder also amulettsofware, do you have already tested the remote control? Works with VC? Is it Bluetooth or UHF?

Hi Kalle.  I think you mean the prefix override is not working.  Actually I don't think this ever worked properly, even in the last version.  Thanks for pointing this out.  The regular prefix should still work fine though.

I would just like to point out that I have not fully tested the remote keymap and learning functions.  So far I have not had success learning the codes for any of the buttons for my TV remote.   I don't know if I am doing something wrong, or if my TV is unusual but if this feature is important to you, then you might want to wait until I have sorted it out.  I think Wanilton is also buying the remote so he may also be able to provide information about his experiences with programming the remote keys to emulate other remotes.

I updated it to 0.845.  Please test.

Ok, James prefixmode working fine, the command in prexfixmode is not in red, but it works. In ON-Mode the executed command in VC is displayed red.

Sorry James,

the prefix mode does not always work, mostly when I switched off the PC. I don't know why.
I can see the right command in VC ("monkey play song ... 89.3%"), but it doesen't work. When i write in options  Prefix: Media Monkey (the default) it works always, all the time.
James, can you check this?

I am trying to figure it out what is going on but I'm having a hard time recreating the problem...  It seems to work fine with tellvox, but I cannot test with actual voice commands at the moment because there are people here.  I will try to figure it out today though.  Sorry for the trouble.

- it works if you set the prefix to "media monkey" and then issue a command like "media monkey play song old friends"
- if you change the prefix to "monkey", restart, and then issue a command like "monkey play song old friends" it seems to accept the command, but nothing happens.

does the command show up in the command history window?
does anything show up in the alternates window?

I really can't recreate this problem.  You do know that you have to restart VoxCommando after you change the prefix, right?

I can confirm Kalles Proplem with Prefix Mode.

It definitely does not work in the 0.845 Version.
I tryed to use several Prefixes. For Example: "monkey" (restarted VC)
In yellow Mode VC understands "monkey play" (80%) (MM is already running), but it is not doing anything.


In further Versions the Prefix Mode worked fine.

Hi James, yes the command show in the command history window, but does nothing. In earlyer  version 0.841 it works fine.

Ok, now I am totally confused 

Prefix works with almost every Command.

Except Pause and Play Commands.

I changed the Phrases to "Pause, unterbrechen, halt" and "Play, weiter gehts, kann losgehen, kann wieder losgehen" , as you can see in the my voicecommands.xml:

ihope i found it!

All groups have a prefix in properties "MM Basic" = Basic as prefix --> what i do, i delete this prefix, and the prefix from option work fine.

Skylive, im Editmodus ist jeder Gruppe ein Prefix zugeordnet (recht Maustaste auf die Gruppe --> properties, lösche dort mal den Prefix und schau mal ob dies funktioniert)

I delete Group prefix and it works fine (in the moment   ) I test a little further

I tested open VC, close VC, modify commands also on, it works :-))

thank you!    I was sure that I had checked the prefixes were all clear!  And I don't know why the commands were still working for me...  but I just checked again after your post and the prefix is marked as "basic" !

So now I am updating the code, to highlight groups if they have a prefix override, or if they have a priority other than 0.

In the end it will lead to a better product.  I had been meaning to highlight those 'special' groups but this forced me to do it right away.

Good Job Guys. You solved the problem.

Deleting Override Prefix was the solution for me too.
That explains, why most commands worked with prefix, and the commands from the Group "MM Basic" did not work on prefix mode.

Now everything works fine.

0.851 testing is planned for tomorrow
