custom OSD with Aeon MQ skin

Hi Wanilton,

Do you think it would be possible with the help of MarcosQui to create a custom OSD for XBMC?

Currently we either have to use the VC osd (which only works on the local computer) or we have to use

execbuiltin:

Notification(header,message[,time,image])

which displays a rather small message at the bottom right, and I don't think allows us to show long lists of items like we would need to show alternate commands.

I'm not sure.  I was kind of hoping that Marcos would have an idea!

I notice in his skin that some things pop up showing the current playing artist, or a message that there is an update of the skin available.

I don't know enough about the inner working of XBMC or the skinning to say!

New files for Custom OSD in XBMC, updated files.

Replace this 3 files in folder 720p, skin AEONMQ 2.

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.aeonmq.2\720p

and strings put here
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.aeonmq.2\Language\English (US)

I am confused about the new OSD for VC in MQ2 skin.  Do we need to install extra files now or are they all built into the skin?

When I run XBMC with "View popup optimized for voxcommando" set to true, it works fine.  But if I turn that setting off, it doesn't work properly.  It seems like the notification is appearing in the same place, but with no black background windows.

Also, is it possible for the VC version of the popup to have no sounds?  It is very annoying to hear a sound when it pops up and then again when it disappears.

James, not is necessary install extra files, only 1 file was changed (DialogKayToast), if you set on in View Popup optimized, change OSD for a extra large and appears icon Vox, if you set NO, then appears the OSD default of XBMC, yes the messages of XBMC appears in the same window, changed only the format of window for OSD.

OK, well then it's broken.  The default notification doesn't work properly when I switch back from the Vox version.

Correction for recently music in home, skin Aeonmq 2 version 2.7.0 for XBMC


Replace RecentlyAdded.py in this folder script.recentlyadded, this script it´s ok now

Please update folder 720p
Replace this 2 attached files (Home and Includes_Latest_Added) in folder 720p, skin AEONMQ 2.

Done, this solve problem list album in recents..


I recommend using the uncompressed media folder, download the zipped file, then delete the entires contents of media folder of the skin AeonMQ 2,  decompress the files in the same media folder MEDIA, as a result the skin run more easy and fast, however not can use more themes, is at the discretion of each one of you, so the decision to use or not.

James, como eu altero isso também, não gosto muito do som ao ativar, o que você fez exatamente para retirar o som?
