Probleme mit WMC Song Phrase in 892

Hallo liebe VoxCommando-Gemeinde.

Ich bin gestern auf dieses vorzügliche Programm gestoßen und habe mich gleich ans testen gemacht!
Soweit habe ich alles verstanden und auch hinbekommen, allerdings läuft der Song Phrase in WMC überhaupt nicht.
Egal was ich als befehl eingebe er wird einfach nicht anerkannt. Ich habe hier im Forum eine ältere Version (0825) German gefunden, in der "spiele Musik von" schon voreingestellt war. Da läuft es komischerweise problemlos mit jedem Phrase den ich einstelle.
Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir weiter helfen, lieben Gruß

Maybe you are having trouble getting it to work in German.

Maybe everything is working fine, except that you are unable to request songs by song title.

Willkommen im VC Forum. Ok mal schauen - habe mal die ur-alt version 0.825de getestet, dieser Befehl ist bei mir nicht vorhanden, bei der aktuellen finde ich auch keinen, kann mich aber täuschen, da ich WMC nicht benutze.
Könntest Du mir sagen welcher Befehl es genau ist? (siehe Bild) bzw. in welchem der hier gezeigten Ordner er sich befindet und bei welcher Version von VC funktioniert dieser nicht? Was zeigt das Command-Fenster, also dort wo in % steht, wie gut dich VC verstanden hat.
Die meisten nutzen MediaMonkey (freeware) für Musik und als "allrounder für Movies, Musik, Bilder usw." XBMC, wie Du wahrscheinlich schon festgestellt hast, gibt es hierfür auch eine Menge vorgefertigte Befehle und
Datenbankabfragen.

Everything works fine, also in german exept the play song phrase for WMC. I can't get it to work to say: "play song Paul Kalkbrenner" nor use any other phrase for it.
I've found another version here in forum (http://voxcommando.com/forum/index.php?topic=90.msg567#msg567) where it works just fine. I can say "spiele musik von paul kalkbrenner" and it starts to play this artist.
But in the current version i am not able to use this command, everything else works perfect without any issue. I tried to set  in options -> WMC -> phrase some other commands but VC never recognize it. Play, spiele, beginne, set track i tried everything but it wont even recognize this words while i can set any phrase in the older version and it works fine =/


Und mit winamp, wmc/wmp, vlc, itunes und co. hab ich schon mehr als genug für diesen Bereich, wollte nicht unbedingt noch ein Programm installieren, zumal mit der 825 ja alles tadellos funktioniert. (=
Sonst funktioniert auch alles perrrfekt & ich hab's alles schnell verstanden, nur das play song tut es eben nicht

Ok, super! Da fällt mir es gerade wieder ein  in der neuen Version 089X unter Optionen-WMC und dann create grammar..... (siehe Bild). Probiere es mal aus (häkchen setzen) und für "Play song" etwas in Deutsch einsetzen. Du kannst mehrere Instanzen von VC gleichzeitig laufen lassen, z.B. eine mit für englische Spracheingabe und eine für Deutsche Spracheingaben, also verschiedene oder gleiche Versionen von VC mit jeweils anderen Einstellungen in je einem eigenen Ordner installieren/kopieren.

I think the command you are looking for is "play artist", not "play song"

example: "Play artist paul kalkbrenner"

it is set in the command tree by clicking "edit".  You are probably looking in the options.  The newer version works differently from the old one.

you also need to run genXML to scan your library.

I have tried the create grammar checkbox, also several commands in german/english but nothing works.
Yes i meant play artitst but "play song" was the default value in phrase WMC options so i said this!
I also used the genXML, as i said in the old version everything works fine.
There is no command in the command tree for play song/artist.. what`s the parameter to play an artist then?

*EDIT* And if i have to set it in the command tree what's the phrase option in WMC then for? :S

The checkbox in the options allow you to specify if you want to be able to request individual songs by an artist after you have selected the artist.

So you can first say

"play artist David Bowie"   <--this command is specified in the command tree along with all other commands

and then you can say

"play song Changes"  <-- this is a special command just for WMC.  You turn it on in options, and if you want change the phrase from "play song" to something else.  This command has problems right now so forget about it for now.

Install version 0.892 or higher. 0.892 is on the main download page of the website, but you can get the latest version (0.896) from here:

Install it in an empty folder, and then choose the configuration for WMC, this configuration DOES includes a command for "Play artist", and "Play album" and you will find them in the group named "WMC Play Music by Request" (see image)

Please verify that these commands exists and then do the following on the main VoxCommando window:

-  click GenXML >>  Gen WMC

- click File >> Purge Cache

- click File >> Full Restart

Don't give up!  If you still can't get this to work I will make you a video showing you step by step.  Good luck.

ahwww thank you!! pretty awesome it works now! 
but now there is another problem, yesterday: stop, fullscreen, skip forward and all the vmc plugin commands where working fine.
today they stop working... i've tried to reinstall the plugin, also tested another version of it but i can't get it back to work in any VoxCommando version. think i messed it up somehow  any idea?

The first thing I would try is to reboot windows.  Other than that I am really not sure.  Make sure that Windows Media Center has focus.

Make sure you use the correct VMC plugin for your OS from here:

also check the VC history window to make sure that button presses are being sent.

I've tried all that.
I just found out some commands work only in fullscreen mode, like "stop, play" and some still work in window mode for example "goto mymusic" yesterday they all where working in window mode... that's really strange  
Even if WMC is focused in window mode they do nothing.

*EDIT* well i just read the issue tracker at vmccommand.codeplex seems like its a known issue there =/ nvm have to w8 for them to update their package then

sorry, the VMC plugin is not the most reliable.  THis is partly because it is not really maintained / supported anymore (I guess the original developper lost interest) and partly because Microsoft made very little effort to make this kind of thing possible with Windows Media Center.

That is why most of us have switched to XBMC!

I wish I could suggest something but I have no ideas.

if there are only certain commands that are not working, you can use VoxCommando's keyboard emulation.  You need to know what key does what though...

obviously you need to be running VoxCommando on the same computer as WMC
