@ mrmagica

here is a pic of my rf projector screen remote. yours may be exactly the same.

@mrmagica: how looks the learned RF code from the HALx - unknown?
By the way, I've used a USB-UIRT device to learn the "RF to IR" code from the powermid. The usb-uirt has a good driver to learn any IR code.

@Kalle: mrmagica does not own a halx.  Did you mean: "how looks the learned RF code from the USBUIRT - unknown?"

Ahh, I've misunderstood something, sorry  :bonk

I have taken out all the old equipment and some tested without success. Then it occurred to me that I have a program that can calculate the IR codes, but only from "InterTechno" RF switches. It is a htlm page and if you are interested (maybe it is possible to modify something in this page for other RF codes) let me know.

Intertechno are the German equivalent of Homeeasy/Byron Rf products in the UK. Can you send me the excel sheet, danke. My personal opinion is that it is not possible to calculate other Rf codes easily, not without understanding the protocol and the encoder chip.

xtermin8r: Yes that looks exactly the same.  Heres mine:

The chip in this is labelled 433.92mhz. I don't suppose you know the correct IR codes that the powermid might put out as the correct RF? See if it works before I pick up one of your boxes!

Hi xtermin8r, here is the codeCalc html - sorry no excel sheet it is a html page. Let me know if you found any interesting thing with this  ;)

have fun

@mrmagica

It is also possible that your MCE IR tranceiver can't read the IR which is send from the powermid - the USB-UIRT read any IR protocoll that I've tested (RC5, RC6 ...)

Ha ha, Now wasn't that a good guess, almost "exactly the same as mine", My automation controller already supports that Rf protocol.

That is not the chip, that is called the Saw Resonator,  the chip is on the other side.

I don't know the correct IR codes, because I have never bothered trying the method you are proposing,
take a picture of the chip and send it to me, I'll see what I can do.
