i was wanting to make something like this http://theubi.com/ but using a raspberry pi. What i would really love is an all in one solution and i havent found any luck with this at all.

My ideal setup would be something like a raspberrypi running xbmc, voxcommando, eventghost, and google now. i also need to be able to control rf, ir, and x10 through the unit

i want to be able to drop a small device in between the 2 chairs in my theater room and just pluy it into the wall and start voice control of all of my gadgets. So if anyone knows something that can handle all of this and be very energy efficient please let me know what i will need to either buy this box outright or make it myself.

VoxCommando requires windows (vista or later), which I'm pretty sure will not run on a pi. Instead you could use a mini desktop computer with Intel atom and ion graphics, or something similar.

Hi IKROWNI and welcome in VC forum.
VoxCommando works only with Windows (not XP), so you need a small Windows based PC and as controller for IR/RF a HALi http://lifetek.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=13

hey that looks great all i can find is barebones ones available and a lot of places are saying its discontinued, so i may just have to piece it together

I am looking to move VC from my main computer to a Zotac Mini PC. Which make and model do you have?
My local supplier currently has a sale on so I think I will pick one up this week.

I have two Zotac's:

the NANO has no optical drive and is really small (a bit bigger as a cigarett box) I use it also in my car
