Switching primary sound card with Vox

Hi gents,

Me again, I couldn't leave you alone for more than 5 minutes.

So I've bought This Lindy USB Wireless audio box.  Very cool indeed.

I have pointed XBMC at Primary sound driver, and I can see that to switch the sound from my speakers to my little portable audio box is as simple as changing the Default device in Windows from my Surround sound card to the Lindy wireless.

Question is, how can I automate this so that Vox does it for me when I speak?

Found vista audio changer and installed it with compatability mode.

Works great, but if anybody knows of any cleaner way of doing it natively to either Vox or Eventghost then I'd love to make it as clean as possible.

I've given my sound cards short cut keys (CTRL ALT and S) for the Synic wireless and (CTRL ALT and A) for the Asus surround card.

I have Eventghost doing the keyboard at the moment because I couldn't get Vox to accept {Ctrl+Alt+S}  I'm guessing I got the format wrong, can any one put me straight so that I can at least keep the commands between Vox and Vista audio changer and cut Eventghost out of the picture?

Hi MrWolf, nice to hear the audiobox is a good invest for you (for me too    )
James have programmed a audioendpoint-plugin and it is what you need. At the moment it is in beta testing but it works perfect. Please contact James per mail or PM to get this nice plugin for testing.

Have you found a way to get it to stay switched on permanently?  It switches itself off after 5 minutes of not being used.

I think you need to hold the button down for 3 seconds (or something) to turn the mic on...

to use the mic - what James said, hold the volume button 1 or 2 seconds down, the LED will light a bit of orange. The mic is first in mute when you switch the device on.

To stop the battery saving function: I'm not sure if it works, but go in VC to options->advanced and set "Timer to reinitialize microphone" to 120 (seconds).
Your audiobox has a 5V power supply input, I'm not sure if you connect a power supply the "save battery function" is disable. (if you use a power supply, don't forget to deinstall the battery first)

Thanks guys, installed the latest version of Vox and the plugin.  Works like a charm.

It's also remaining switched on, so that's another beer that I owe you both!

I have another issue now, but I've posted it under the mic section as it seemed more appropriate.
