Reset Microphone Levels
« on: December 23, 2010, 10:17:23 PM »
Hi, Ive searched the forums but been unable to find a solution..
Whenever Vox Commando starts it resets my Microphone volume level to 7, at this low level it cannot understand my commands so I have to turn the volume back up to 50 each time I start,
Is there a way to stop vox commando from resetting these levels?

I would just like to say that this program is fantastic, and the accuracy I have been getting is generally very good, even with an Australian accent.

I think that windows does this automatically to "help" when VC engages the speech engine.  I'm pretty sure you can fix it by going to the Windows speech recognition control panel and clicking "set up my microphone".  When you read the bit about Peter and his Pen and Paper, make sure you are at a distance, and talking at a level, that matches the way you would be using Voxcommando.  It will adjust the default volume based on this.  Let me know if it works.  If not there may be another work around.  I feel like I read something somewhere at some point...  :)
