Something interesting i found while using xbmc with VC, xbmc has the ability to play rar'ed movie files, if i say play movie predators and its in a rar achive it wont play, but if i extract it, no problem.
Thats just something interesting i found thought i'd let'cha know

try using find movie instead it might work.

play movie is actually telling XBMC to play the file using the filename, which XBMC might not like if it's a rar.  Nothing we can do about it on our end.

but find movie is using a smart playlist to search the xbmc library so it should work.
