licence and reinstall new computer....
« on: February 19, 2012, 10:49:34 AM »
Hello,

One of my two registered computers is failing... So it's time to change it...

Is there a way to "unregister" the failing one and register a new conputer ?

unregister search on forum didn't help.

You can install on up to 3 machines.  Even though technically users are only paying for 1 license I "officially" allow 2 machines to be activated  and let the third one slide to give the benefit of the doubt.  If you get to the point where you need to activate a fourth machine, then we would need to deactivate  one.  To be honest, I haven't really figured out a good way to unregister one that can't be easily re-registered by someone with a little effort but so far it hasn't been an issue.

Ok... Thaks. I did activate the "spare" Acer laptop.

And the failing one was a dv6000 HP, I tried to resolder the graphic chip and... it worked.

So one day or another I'll have to unregister the Acer.

Or buy another licence, I'm a computer "dépanneur" and I play with lots of laptop in my home, so 2*3 is not that much  :)

It should not be a problem.  If you are unable to register your new machine, just contact me by email or private message.
