More fun with 0.941 ... 0.944

this includes a beta plugin for JRiver Media Center.  I will post a sample config for it soon.

Here are some JRiver commands to test out.  I have been testing only with J River Media Center Version 17.  It may work with 16 but I don't know.

You need to enable access in J River by going:

Tools > Options > Media Network :

and make sure you have checked "Use Media Network to share this library and enable DLNA"

if you want you can also enable Authentication, in which case just put the same username and password into the VC plugin settings for JRiver.

Hi James, this is a great release  
You have insert many new and helpful things. The HALX plugin is a nice feature in next time for me  
It is perfect that VC check and show missing payloadfiles  
I could test the "Hook-plugin" before the new release come out and it is very helpful in various situations. (blind people can hear what they are typing, or you can use it to learn type with 10 fingers on keyboard and so one ...)

Fact is: James, you have create again a perfect release of VC

One thing I just realized is that I have included a bunch of plugins that are not finished.

I am going to upload another version with the extra plugins removed.  Halx plugin is not finished.  And there are many others that need a lot of work.

so... now those that downloaded 0.941 before I removed the extra plugins have a hint about what I am working on...

be advised that there is a bug in this version 0.941.  It does not correctly detect when a group needs to be rebuilt.  Anyone who is experimenting with new commands, or changing phrases will probably be pulling their hair out wondering what is going on!

So I have removed the attachment on the first post.

I am working on a fix that I will upload later today.  (As soon as I can)

updated first post with 0.942

Includes a fix for detecting groups that need to be rebuilt (and shows them in history window now too!)

also a small fix for xbmc filter commands that did not like dashes such as in "X-Files"

having issued generating xml, followed your directions and its not finding my data for jriver.

jriver plugin says success on connection but says connection false in status bar.....

commands work with jriver 16

any suggestions on the xml?

I have no suggestions at the moment on the xml and am going to bed.  If you are able to provide any more details that would be good.
