downloading files from the internet

is there is a way to make VC download a file form the internet? (http://www.stm.info/sites/default/files/gtfs/gtfs_stm.zip)

I can't use scrap then save as the file is about 40MB of multiple text files and one of them is about 250MB un compressed ...

so looking for a way to download that file at night, save it on PC then run a bat file to decompress it ...

any ideas?

You can use a download manager with scheduled task support like this http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

not tested, but maybe it helps.

Thank you kalle, that is brilliant idea ... It reminded me that I can do that with my NAS ....

However I was hoping to do it with VC because I need to check a date if there is new data before I do the download and process the files

But if it is not possible I will definitely use a download manager

I think you can do a lot with wget and VoxCommando's launch actions.

I did not test the link above so I'm not sure if this is the best place or if it is the latest version...
