BTW I didn't have http;// in my task but it didn't click in my head when I read your response. Stuff like that drives me nuts too.

Glad you got it working. Also I don't use a map table anymore....I use a python script nimester helped me write. As I talk to "Jarvis" from my personal and work devices. I have a gear live watch with the google now api on my personal phone and a droid turbo for work so I don't even have to touch anything to talk to my "Jarvis".

I stand corrected. That's what I get for not reading again lol.

Yes you are correct....auto voice uses CSV values and it is replacing them with ampersands. You did check continue task after error under the http get task? You have to have beginner mode turned off to see it. Also you can use autonotification to make VC put custom notifications on your phone also. Helpful if you don't want your phone to talk but notify you instead.

I dont think you can use command line to generate an event in VC, that's why I use event ghost but I use eventghost for a lot of other stuff too.

You can use BTProx with the said computer and have it throw a eventghost event which in turn throws a VC event. The program is used to lock and unlock your PC when you are near but you can make it do a custom command on the phone coming within range. My setup does it like this c:program files(x86)eventghosteventghost.exe -event RogerProximity Near and my VC knows I am in the same room. For VC to know I am home I use autolocation plugin in tasker on android to know when I am in a geofence  area to fire an event to VC to tell it I am home. I'll explain more if you are interested.

Tell me how you have your tasker task setup. List out each line in a reply and edit your IP addresses. Also I would use avcomms() because when you speak a phrase in autovoice it may have multiple matches and with android.phrases in VC it will pick the correct one for you.

"Open air" and "whole home" microphones / Re:

Also voxcommando responds back through my phone. Also nice that it is only one device to issue commands. Also use a Sony sbh52 Bluetooth device so I don't have to have the phone right next to me. Talk through the watch and get a response through the sbh52

I have been using my Samsung gear live with my Samsung galaxy S4 (google play edition), rooted and running autovoice with a xposed framework module and tasker that gives google now an api and simply just issue all voice commands by turning my wrist up. Completely hands free for the most part and works OK even in my truck with the windows down or at home with the movie turned up. It sometimes has its hiccups but 95% it works great.

I have a Samsung gear live watch now and got commands for voxcommando working through google now. Would y'all like a tutorial on that.

Kodi (XBMC) Frodo / Gotham / Isengard / Jarvis / Re:

I only share the playlist folder between instances...nothing else. Easier to sync playlist all throughout the house. I'll ask someone over on xbmc though thanks.

I have been getting all my XBMC instances thorughout the house working with VC. Everything is working good except for when I try to use smart playlists. The way that I have my server setup is it houses all the playlists in a central location by symlinking the "xbmc\userdata\playlists" folder to a shared folder on the server. This is where it gets confusing for me, if I make a new smart playlist.....lets say "Artist Hits" with the artist "Motley Crue" and the playlists\mixed folder is empty (no voxsmart.xsp in there) it creates the voxsmart.xsp just fine but.....if there is a voxsmart.xsp ALREADY in the folder it will not overwrite it with a NEW ARTIST.....now if I delete the voxsmart.xsp BEFORE i change to a new artist it works fine. I'm stumped, I've checked folder permissions on the server and everything is fine (VC has complete control over folder). Anybody got a clue?

(I got around it by deleting voxsmart.xsp evertime before a new one is created)

Feature Requests / Re:

Yea I understand more how it works now. I have since moved on to using autovoice and autoremote to send and receive commands to VC. At the time of writing this I was trying to find the best way of controlling all my htpcs from a central installation of VC. Now with autovoice and autoremote I can do it from any where in the world as long as I have internet on my phone.

Python Scripting / Re:

Negative ghost rider. Does VC2 work without a sapi installed on the server? Or should I try installing that "other" speech engine on WHS 2011?

Thank you both for the two examples. I will test both methods over the next couple of days and see which one works better for me. I am in class all next week so I will not be able to "play" with it as much. Right now I am trying to explore more possibilities with using autoremote with VC. I made a pretty cool command to send a text file of running processes to my phone from any one of computers. I just say "jarvis send me running processes on the server/office/living room" and it sends the file to my phone. Thought that was pretty cool. I have been making enough success with VC that I went ahead and bought a Gigabyte Brix GB-BXi5-4200 mini computer that will run VC and some other stuff as a "control center" for all my computers around the house. Bit overkill but I found it at a good price ($250USD on ebay brand new) and will add 8gb of ram and 120 msata harddrive. The virtual computer I am running VC on right now is hogging up my ram on my server.
