HI James
I am going to try and set this up again and am keen to see where you got to with the Kinect and 1.5? there was a post but there was never any outcome? Any way I have decided now that I have a pretty comprehensive Ipad app managing XBMC all I am really looking for is a method to walk into the room and say "Playroom watch tv, channel 101" or Playroom watch a movie" (XBMC), this will then start the projector and av and then I can sit down and either use the remote or the app.
it would be pretty cool if I could also use the gesture on the kinect say waving to mute the sound so I could use the voice control again.
any way for speed the Kienect is the best option, but have looked at the cad boundary mic as an alternative.
any thoughts?
