Feature Requests / Re: Confidence level per command

@ jitterjames & @ kalle
thanks for your fast answers.  The solutions you both suggested sound great. Looking forward to the next Version to check them out  :)

Feature Requests / Confidence level per command
« on: November 11, 2011, 02:40:51 PM »
A feature I would like to see is the option to set a conifdence level (optional) on specific commands.

The Command which comes to my mind would be a VC.on Action with a lower confidence rating.
Because I would like to be able to  activate listening mode for 20 or so seconds (easily done via timeout) . And during those 20 secs. to give more than one command with the default confidence given in the options dialog.

An alternative would be a  VC Command to alter the global confidence rating and apply it on the fly but i dont know if this is possible.  In this case i could achieve the same by setting a lower confidence in the options and by immediately raising it after the vc.on and afterwards lowering it again when returning to idle status.

Perhaps this option could also help with some commands which are harder to interpret by voxcom especially some words in german.

Prefix is not alternative here because a prefix has to be connected to another command immediatly and I would like to be able to issue more commands in a row.

Whe talked about this a while ago in another topic but since it is  a feature request ....I thought it should be mentioned in this section.

Bug Reports / Re: Problem with prefix Mode

Any command that has the first action set to

VC.On

will always be active even when in standby so you don't require a prefix for it, as long as the group it is in has not been disabled.

Ahh that was exactly what i needed . I assumed such a command would not be executed if the system is in standby mode. I thought the only possible way of issuing commands out of standby was by using a prefix followed by a command. So thanks for the clarification. The difference in this scenario would be that I can´t use the VC.ON Stuff with a different confidence like i would with the prefix.

My Usage Scenario was saying the prefix then getting a confirmation that voxcom ist listening and coming out of Standby and then Issuing the command i wish to be executed. This would be combined with the timeout of 15s, so that when I get voxcom out of standby with the prefix and can´t think of a command afterwards  :bonk it would return to standby. At the moment Prefix+command have to be issued at the same time. I just thought it had been different in earlier version of Voxcommando

Thank you both for the fast answers and of course @jitterjames great work, great program  :)

Bug Reports / Problem with prefix Mode
« on: May 05, 2011, 10:56:22 PM »
In the most recent version there is a slight Problem with the Prefix Mode. I can use the Prefix in combination with a command to execute it. But i cant just use the prefix alone to activate listening mode and then hearing the confirmation sound  that voxcom is listening (Star trek Style). I knew it worked with earliers Versions and i hope this possibility has not been removed intentionally. I am now doing stuff like splitting up my Prefix (Voxcommando)  into e.g. (prefix)Vox + (phrase) commando thenn execute the VC.On Command to achieve this functionality. But with this setup i need a higher confidence for the second part  ( commando) but i would like to do it  completely in the prefix.

Feature Requests / two feature suggestions

Two or three :-) additional features I would like to see in future Versions of Voxcommando, since I missed those functions during my use of VoxCommando.

1)  The possibilty to execute a Command from within another command for example Voxcomm.execute and the Command as Parameter.

2)  I am using the Voxcom mostly with an idle timeout, so I would like to see the possibilty to automatically execute commands exactly at the time VoxCommando returns to the idle status. I would use it to disable groups I´d rather like to see disabled (working like a reset function) when beginning a voice interaction.
I  think of a Scenario so that only certain commands or command groups are active at the beginning of a dialogue, then during the dialogue certain groups are enabled to get access to the embedded commands and after execution finishes, the state of the chosen groups is reset with those new "return to idle commands".

3) also it seems that the idle timer does not extend further while executing commands, it should do so since you are obviously not "idle" while executing Commands in Voxcommando.

so thats it !!
I am really impressed by this excellent application and I really like it  ! Please keep up the great work.

Feature Requests / Re: Play wav file command

yeah i saw that option alas many engines especially very good ones (at least for german tts output such as the linguatec tts stuff ) don´t integrate themself (yet) into the OS like microsoft sam and similar sapi?? based tts engines.

Feature Requests / Play wav file command
« on: September 16, 2010, 03:22:23 PM »
I would like to see a command directly implemented into VoxCommando to play any chosen wav file. So that you can for example enable a grp via a command and then play a wav file to indicate the execution of the chosen command. I know it can be done via launching a programm and playing a wav file, but since it is already included in the app somehow since the listen, standby and off Status can be indicated by wav files I think a native functionality could be implemented quite easily.
Another advantage of this function would be the possibilty to record Wavs with better tts engines (since the integrated one in Win.. is not state of the art and only usable for english)  and then use them for your chosen commands for confirmation purposes etc. , or if i simply dont want to use the TTS function.
In fact I did exactly this with a very similar Application called Voiceflux (the only one with similar features I found)  which sadly only works under WinXP and development apparently stopped.
