VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Re: Out of index error
« on: August 22, 2011, 05:52:26 PM »
It appears to work.  I ran into a couple issues where my HTPC (or receiver) decided to ignore the audio on the HDMI which is never helpful with testing.  The first time I tried this the video played without audio (due to issue in my previous sentence).. after a reboot and receiver power cycle I issued the command and this time I got the same error I had witnessed in the earlier version of the command.  The odd part was that when I tried to manually play a video from XBMC it would either ignore me or throw the error I posted about earlier.  I noticed that when I manually tried to run a video in XBMC, VC would log the attempt and then immediately log a playback stop.

Once I restarted both VC and XBMC everything looks like it is working perfectly.  If I happen to see the odd behaviour again I will try to capture everything in case you want to see it.

Thanks to everyone for all the help!

I just regenerated the entire library and am seeing the same behaviour.

Thanks,

Very cool, I got the commands imported successfully.

The issue I am finding now is that when I try to get a music video running the TTS repeats the correct video back but XBMC either browses to the root of my video library or throws an error "One or more items failed to play".  I am doubtful this is an issue with VC but just in case I have attached the XBMC logfile.  I have also attached a screenshot of what the OSD shows when I ask for a video, it doesn't always display strings that long (sometimes it only shows "</field>").

Thanks again,
Brad

I tried dragging that file into the command list editor as well as every line under my Music Video command set however nothing appeared to happen (cursor showed the "can't do it" icon).  I also tried dragging the file into the main left pane that logs what is happening with the same result as before.

Am I trying to drag the file into the wrong area?

Thanks,
Brad

That would be what I missed.  Now XBMC throws an error but at least my command is doing something.

Thanks again,
Brad

Hello Kalle,

I've attached that screenshot (just regenerated the music video part for the shot).

Thanks,
Brad

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Out of index error
« on: August 20, 2011, 01:10:06 PM »
Hello,

I created a command to try and play music videos however I get the following error when I try to use it:

System.Argument.OutOfRangeExeption: Index was out of range. Must be non negative and less than the size of the collection.

I've probably set something up incorrectly so I have attached what I did as screenshots.  I also verified that the videos I was trying to test with were in the payload file.

Thanks,
Brad

Thank you very much for the quick response!

Your steps worked and everything looks good to me.  I have to say that this is an amazing app and I have recommended it to several friends!

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Can't get out of standby by voice
« on: August 15, 2011, 12:45:07 PM »
Hello, I am having an issue where I can get the app to go into standby by saying the ignore me command however if I use the "resume"commands such as computer or start listening the app logs the rough following message:

Computer: command ignored because in standby

If I enable the prefix command I can take the app out of standby however it doesn't work otherwise.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Brad
