This issue has been fixed with VoxCommando version 0.842 and above. There was a problem with the xml file version system.

I have tried to fix the code that detects old versions of command tree files.  Ole: please try the new version to see if it is fixed.

Yep, the issue seems to be resolved now. No more error messages. Well done :)

Ok, I don't know if this is intended to happen, but when replacing the files and pressing "Edit", the following message appears:
Code: [Select]
OLD VERSION of voicecommands.xml
0:WARNING - Your command tree was created using an older version.
- Click Edit Tree [Which doesn't exist, just "Edit"].
- click [Typo] "Save" to update your voiicecommands.xml file.

VoxCommando version:         0.841
voicecommands.xml version:        0

Then, when opening the command tree again, this message appears (which I believe is related to my issue in the support forum):
Code: [Select]
Your command tree is an old version.
Your voicecommands file has been backed ut to: voicecommands.bak.
Please save your command tree to update it now.

Just a heads-up :)

Ole,

you must push first the save button and the next step is open the voicecommand.xml from your old folder, thats all.

Greetings Kalle

PS: from where do you come? Germany?

I didn't get that far. It crashed with the above message when I pressed the save button. From Norway.

Oh, I see! Sorry about that.

I downloaded 0.833 Media Monkey Edition again and extracted to a new folder, and replaced the files with the ones listed in this topic. It starts, but when I open the the command tree and save for the first time (while noting that it creates voicecommands.xml and voicecommands.bak) the application crashes with the following message:

Code: [Select]
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

can you send me your voicecommands.xml file?

I think it has something to do with culture settings, but I thought that I had solved the problem.  What is the latest version you have tried?

Sent. Check your mail :)

Hmm, this version crashes when I run it. Just a windows message saying it has crashed. Win 7 HP x64. 0.833 works fine (with the xml exception reported in the support forum)

did you download the one called "VoxCommando0841alphaFix01.zip" that I posted in response to wanilton's bug report?

if you have that version and it is still crashing, can you please click details when it crashes and post the error message text?

Sure. Sorry, but it didn't say it crashed. It says it stopped working and then closes the dialogue after checking for solutions.

I did however find the log for the crash:

Hi,

I started using VoxCommando a couple of builds ago and have experienced the same issues since then: Whenever I try to open the Command Tree, the following message appears:

Code: [Select]
Your command tree is an old version.
Your voicecommands file has been backed up to: voicecommands.bak## (number, in this case 29).
Please save your command tree to update it now.

The issues have been verified on Win7 Ultimate and Home Premium with admin accounts. It seems no matter what I try to do, this message pops up.
