From your description it sounds like when you press the "On" button in VoxWav absolutely nothing happens.  That would be surprising though.

Please take a look at this video for a better explanation of the always on feature and how to use it:

It is true that the always on feature is not for everyone.  It was only added due to popular demand.  My concept of VoxWav was not one that included this feature.  The biggest challenge is setting the volume threshold correctly but I don't really know if this mode is reliable over long periods of time.

Still I find it unlikely that the on button is simply not detecting that you are clicking it.

let me explain the series of events a bit better.

Press on, and it starts listening I see an indicator the bottom right that it is sending the command once I stop talking, but nothing happens.

I tap the talk button (just a tap, don't say anything) and then the previously spoken command is executed.

I can repeat this:  press on say a command wait 5-120 seconds and nothing press and release talk and command is executed

if the mic is in an off state, I can press and hold, and speak a command release as normal.

so the command is being recorded, and according to the indicator it is being sent, but it isn't.

hmm thanks for the info. I'll assume it is my tablet (Asus T700tf) that is the issues here but this is what happens currently.

I press the On button say a phrase and nothing happens.
I tap the talk button and it acts like it sends the last phrase and works
I can tap the On again and it repeats the behavior.

The talk button works as expected.

I read that one of the pro features was to have the mic always on. I understood this would mean I wouldn't need to use the push to talk button.

I see the ON button on the lower left., but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Ideally I would like this to run on a tablet in the room, and always on and listening.
Please advise.
