VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Another Scrape question
« on: January 08, 2017, 11:38:33 AM »
I hope some one could help. I just can't get my head around sending Put commands through Voxcommando.

I want to send this command (Works sending through the Terminal)
curl -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -X PUT -d {"on":true} http://192.168.0.116:8080/api/username/lights/1602928626/state

Can you explain what goes where, when using the scrape.put command.

Best wishes.

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Lifx Bulb Scrape.Put
« on: October 11, 2015, 08:10:44 AM »
Hi All,

I could do with some help getting my Lifx bulb to work.
You can control using an HTTP API. http://api.developer.lifx.com/docs/set-state

This is my entry with my api key changed.

Code: [Select]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<!--VoxCommando 2.1.4.8-->
<command id="872" name="Lifx HTTP" enabled="true" alwaysOn="False" confirm="False" requiredConfidence="0" loop="False" loopDelay="0" loopMax="0" description="">
  <action>
    <cmdType>Scrape.Put</cmdType>
    <params>
      <param>https://api.lifx.com/v1/lights/all/state</param>
      <param>{"power": "on"}</param>
      <param>xxxxxxxxxbd1fba4f168349edc221477e00153769c417xxxxxxxxxx</param>
      <param />
      <param>application/json</param>
    </params>
    <cmdRepeat>1</cmdRepeat>
  </action>
</command>

I have double checked the key.
This is my error with key changed
Code: [Select]
11/10/2015 12:05:49 381 doCommand:Lifx HTTP
11/10/2015 12:05:49 381 action repeat set to: 1
11/10/2015 12:05:49 381 Action:  Scrape.Put - https://api.lifx.com/v1/lights/all/state&&{"power": "on"}&&xxxxxxxxa4f168349edc221477e00153769c4178e79470fc6d4fa02b0cb&&&&application/json
11/10/2015 12:05:49 381 [action] Scrape.Put:https://api.lifx.com/v1/lights/all/state&&{"power": "on"}&&xxxxxxxa4f168349edc221477e00153769c4178e79470fc6d4fa02b0cb&&&&application/json

11/10/2015 12:05:49 390 Doing scrape put/post with headers:
Content-Type: application/json

11/10/2015 12:05:50 121 Action ERROR: Web exception: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes.

Amulet Remote / Off before On
« on: October 21, 2014, 09:45:54 AM »
Hi all,

VC 2.1.0.3
VoxCommandoSP

Amulet.On => Reduce the volume of my AVR using USB.Send
Amulet.Off => Raise the volume of my AVR using USB.Send

This works.

However I notice that when you lift the amulet it creates a Amulet.Off before it creates a Amulet.On

This causes the above to raise the volume and then reduce it and then raises it again when put back on the table.

Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong or how I might change the behaviour?

Best wishes.

James.

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Close Browser after send URL
« on: January 19, 2013, 12:53:39 PM »
Hi All,

I am trying to send a url that switches on my lights and then close the browser.

Switching on my lights works - but for the life of me I can't then close the browser.

Code: [Select]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<command id="249" name="Lights On" enabled="true" alwaysOn="False" confirm="False" requiredConfidence="0" loop="False" loopDelay="0" loopMax="0" description="">
  <action>
    <cmdType>Launch.OpenURL</cmdType>
    <cmdString>http://192.168.0.112/lightwaverf.php?room=living&amp;device=socket&amp;state=on</cmdString>
    <cmdRepeat>1</cmdRepeat>
  </action>
  <action>
    <cmdType>Window.Close</cmdType>
    <cmdString>firefox</cmdString>
    <cmdRepeat>1</cmdRepeat>
  </action>
  <phrase>Enable Standing Light</phrase>
</command>

Can any one tell me what I am doing wrong.

Best wishes.

General Discussion / How to set up new version of Vox
« on: January 31, 2011, 03:42:18 PM »
Hi,

Sorry for appearing to be rather dim witted.

Just down loaded the new 0.872 version.
Nothing appears in the left hand pane.

I assume I have to transfer my old settings, Command tree / XML's

What files need transferring?

Best wishes.

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / What's with the Pink
« on: January 17, 2011, 05:10:49 PM »
Hi James,

Normally the frame around the VC is Green or Yellow.

What does the pink surround signify - At a guess I think it means I have done something it does not like :)

Best wishes.

EventGhost / AV Receiver Volume.
« on: January 14, 2011, 08:52:42 PM »
Hi,

I wonder if any one has any suggestions.

I want to control the sound on my receiver via VC & EG and preferably by using "Set Volume x". Rather than in steps.

Best wishes.

XBMC (Old board see 'KODI' above) / Overlay
« on: January 12, 2011, 04:22:24 PM »
Hi,

I continue to play with VoxCommando (XBMC). Did I tell you I think this is so cool :)

I have lots of questions - but will keep playing to see if I can figure them out

I find that once I have started playing music / movie I tend to put VC in standby mode so that it does not action things from what I am playing or in normal discourse.

How ever on the next command I have a bad habit of forgetting and end up shouting at the mic because I think it can't hear me  :)
Of course it is in standby.

Would it be possible to have VC overlay a small graphic in one of the corners of the screen? So that it would be unobtrusive that showed Yellow for standby and green for active

Best wishes.

XBMC (Old board see 'KODI' above) / Kinect
« on: December 29, 2010, 10:23:51 AM »
Hi,

I noticed that you posted on XMBC recently asking if you could collaborate on adding KinEmote functionality to VoxCommand.
I could definitely see some advantage in using both.
VoxCommand to get to a screen view "Show Movies"
KinEmote to scroll through the list.
VoxCommand to switch on/off Kinect or at least stop it from actioning unwanted commands.

Any thoughts on this moving forward?

At the moment I am a Mac user -> Plex. But VoxCommand has made me think about getting a Windows box and trying XBMC with VoxCommand.
Once I am up and running I will definitely down load VoxCommand and Donate - looking through your site and videos - I think 20 Dollars is well worth the effort you have put into this project.

Just had a thought - I could virtualize my Mac Mini :-)

Best wishes

James.
