I totally agree, if you want to control just Hue this is fine.  The way I read it was that they wanted to also tie in unsupported bulbs, using Hue and other Plugins in Event Ghost seems like a way to make it seem like one system.

If the issue is controlling Hue bulbs only, I agree with you.  The Hue plugin does everything you would need and a single system is always less complex. 

Sorry if I misread this.

Thanks for the Sonos update.  I will give it a try.

Also, thanks for the plugin template.  I think I will make a test plugin around text manipulation just to give it a try.  I will send you a link when it is done.

I know this is not an open source program, but is there any thought to allowing others to code their own Plugins?  I would like to implement more Sonos features.  What you have is a great start, but there seems to be much more functionality in the upnp commands.

I did do a bit of research, I searched for startup, on start, start.  Never thought to look for load, and the forums are so large, that if one does not know where to look it is hard. 

The other option I found (and I did not want to use) was to start with the command line (I could pass in an event to run with VoxCommando starts).

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / startup options

I have been looking for way to trigger events when VoxCommand starts.  I can do this from an external source but timing that is a bit challenging. 

I would use this to do things like read variable defaults from a file, or reestablishing timers if Voxcommando needed to restart (I was thinking about restarting it every night at 4 am).

Is there a way to run voxcommando startup events via VoxCommando?

Other Plugins / Sonos.Play.share

I was hoping someone could give me a bit of help.

I am trying to use the Sonos.Play.Share command and I cannot get it to work.

The file I am trying to play is in the share specified in the sonos plugin.  Sonos TTS works so I know the share is set up correctly.

I have sent both just the file name and the full UNC path, still nothing.

Any suggestions?

this is pretty easy if you just use Event Ghost with Vox Commando.  There is a Hue plugin for Event Ghost and the two programs work well together.  This works very well for me.
