I'm now on version 2.1.3.8 and still receiving the large payloadXML warning, is there perhaps a flag to suppress the message?

Vera Home Automation Controller / Re: Plex and Vera LuaUPnP restarts
« on: October 30, 2014, 01:45:16 PM »
Fixed all my issues, 24 hour without a LUA engine restart. Worked with Vera tech support for over 9 months to try and diagnose  :bonk

Version 2 updates / Re: New feature: Enhanced regex

Cool feature. I've only met one person who liked regular expressions, I use them when necessary but it feels like pulling my teeth out very slowly  :bonk

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Re: Does VoxCommando have an API?
« on: January 21, 2014, 06:42:24 AM »
Thank you both for the very detailed response and awesome examples!
I'll be working through some scenarios this coming weekend.
I have Vera  3now turning on my receiver/tv upon arrival home and depending on mood either playing a smart playlist on XBMC (music I rated as a 4 or 5; just love the XBMC visualization for music and lyrics/artwork) or switching to a news channel. Now a third scene will be having VC read some information to me: weather, temperatures via my netatmo, etc

VC keeps getting better and better!

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Does VoxCommando have an API?
« on: January 20, 2014, 08:03:58 PM »
I can use VoxCommando to control a bunch of different programs: Vera, XBMC, EventGhost but.. is there a way for me to control VoxCommando from another program? I have Vera for a home automation controller, I'd like to trigger VoxCommand off of a scene on Vera. I'm watching TV and a trigger fires on Vera, say sunset and VC announces this to me or my camera sensor is tripped and Vera sends a request to VC to announce someone is outside..

Windows 8 / 10 / Re: No language suitable for speech were found...

@Kalle:
I'm not sure if the translation is correct but I have "When I sign in or close all apps on a screen go to the desktop instead of Start" but nothing like the translation.
I did make sure that everything under Navigation was selected as shown in the screen shot on page 17 but upon reboot, I still had the language pack issue

@jitterjames:
I watched the video [ the music was trying to put me to sleep though ]
I went into VC options and en-US was set for Speech Recognition Language (I didn't have anything set for Display Language so set it to en-US as well)
When I went into time and language, I already had English (United States) listed so I installed a variant of the German language

finally, after doing that VoxCommando starts properly without any warnings

strange - wonder what happened?

I installed Start 8 on my 8.1 box and with the super fast boot off of my mSATA drive, I'm sold on it
Dumbest thing ever was to put a touch interface on top of it, I mean - they should have let people opt into it
It was even more shocked when I first connected to a Windows Server 2012 instance and found the same bloody interface on it
Anyway.. with the a start8 replacement, I like it but would like to get Aero back. No windows 7 for me

thank you, reloaded without issue

Try this version:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/l6vvknfzwds3ph8/VC%20Setup%201.186.exe

The limit is 90K items, which is not to say that it will be able to load a library of that size, but it will not warn you.

I'm a bit confused about your posts ???
Have you switched to a new Windows system?
Does VC works before you did any changes?
Which VC version?
Reboot VC or Windows for 4 times?

Does the Windows speech recognition/TTS works?

confused? Ok...
No, I have not switched to a new Windows system. It's been running for weeks now
In the last 2 days, when I reboot I get the error message about "No language suitable..."
I'm on 1.1.8.4
I didn't do any specific changes other than windows updates
I rebooted Windows 4 times

I'm observing different behavior on my 7th reboot: I still get the warning message, however, VoxCommando works

UAC is disabled
Yes, I'm running VoxCommando as administrator (right clicked)

After a 4th reboot I was actually able to get VC to open but when I attempted to test "WS Kate" on the General tab of options, I get an error:

Failed to create voice / speak:
ComException: Class not registered

...If you are sure you have languages installed that support speech recognition, then you may need to run as administrator.

This just started showing up after the blue. I'm on Win 8.1 64-bit, only recent changes are some Windows updates.

Running with admin privs shows the same message.

I've not added any new voices

James, you got it all wrong, this is what you need to add:

Code: [Select]
System.Window.SatisfyCustomerNeeds(true);

See, all fixed! I can have my cake and eat it too  :biglaugh

For me, one of the absolute coolest features of VC is that I can say "play song..."
I'd hate to have to resort to using only a subset of my songs and then have to rank them all :(
There are no optimizations available to make large libraries easier to handle in VC?
