I am still using Alexa with VoxCommando and it's working.  I'm a bit busy at the moment because we are selling our house and we will be away for a long weekend.

From where did you download the installer?  Which version?

Where (what folder) are you trying to install the program to?

Hmm.  That's a tough one.  I'm using 2.3.1.1. and do not have that issue.

Can you send me the command XML please.

Are you using the SP version?

Which TTS engine and voice are you using?  Have you tried with different voices?

Are you running VC in a dropbox?  I don't know if that is a problem or not, except that it will be uploading your log files all the time.

Hi again. Sorry to report that it does not work with MM5.

I took a look to see if I could update or create a new plugin that would work with MM5 because they have changed their API, only to discover that it is completely broken.

Here's the ticket that was opened back in May of 2021 and no one seems to be doing anything about it.

So unless someone at Ventis fixes this bug your only option for using MM with VC will be to downgrade MM to version 4.

I'm not sure actually.  I tried MM5 a while back but was not happy with it.  I thought at the time that VC worked with it but I'll have to take another look to see if it works for me now.

После окончания работы TTS, команда «Test» срабатывает с задержкой в две с половиной секунды. В чём может быть причина такой большой задержки?

The event is fired with a slight delay intentionally.  Using the ++ method is probably preferable for what you are trying to accomplish.

Use TTS.SpeakSync (this forces VC to wait for the speech action to finish before going to the next action) and also rename your command name so that it starts with ++ so that it will run in its own thread.  Only use this technique when you really need to.  Using it for all your commands can lead to confusion and instability.

Or if you want to use events, just look at the history window and you will see all events that are generated.  There are events automatically generated for TTS.start and TTS.stop

I have added this action to the Win plugin but it will need testing to see how well it actually works.

You'll need to replace the plugin DLL and the actions.xml file in the plugins\Win folder.

Then you can use the action Win.OS.StayAwake

Send True or False for the screen and system parameters to indicate if they should stay awake.

Try replacing the TCPMic plugin .dll with the one attached.

It's probably not too difficult for me to add this functionality to a plugin in VC (maybe the "Win" plugin for example).  However, I'm swamped with other work right now so I'm not sure when I'm going to find the time to work on this.  I suggest sticking with EventGhost for now if it can already do what you need.

Feel free to remind me in November.  I will hopefully have more free time by then.

Thanks for sending your log. We are able to re-create the problem and I think I see the error.  Somehow the "P" in prefix is getting sent as a separate message.

I'll look into finding a solution.
