Amulet Remote / Amount of ram?

Anyone know how much ram this remote has or how many buttons you should be able to learn?

Just been adding learn commands but it's telling me the ram is full after just doing 13 buttons from my TV remote. According to the guide you can do advanced learning with 4 separate maps on the 4 colour buttons, seems a bit pointless having 4 individual maps if you can't even program each button once each because there is not enough ram.

Not been around these parts for a good long while now but I thought i'd come back and post up this new project for Mediaportal.

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Start with windows (minimised)

Is it possible to get vox to start minimised when using the start with windows option?

When I boot up, XBMC loads before vox so vox always pops up in front of xbmc, xbmc has no option for always on top like MP does.

I've tried alwaysontop in xbmc advancedsettings.xml which didn't work (doesn't on x64 systems)
tried using start minimised in the shortcut properties of vox but still starts maximised on top of xbmc.

Only option I can think of now is installing start up delay software so vox starts before xbmc but don't really want to go down that route if i don't have to.

Amulet Remote / XBMC xml for Amulet

Decided to give XBMC another shot, Since there are a few Amulet users on here was wondering if anyone has created a keyboard xml for theirs they would be willing to share, most of it works out the box but can't bring up info or context menu or go home and several of the buttons launch WMC

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Voice command to rescan MP database

Is it possible to create a voice command to rescan my MP databases for when i have added new files as VC currently cant find them ?

I'm not actually sure even what I need to do to get them added manually, I think I normally 'build missing grammars' but i notice in the MPscan plugin I can rescan my MP databases

MediaPortal / New Wifiremote compatability

A new wifiremote plugin was recently released (0.6.1) and since installing it VC cannot connect with MediaPortal, OSD keeps popping up saying 'Trying to connect to MediaPortal' and the history window on VC shows 'MPWIFIAuthenticating...'

Alternatively I also installed a new 'MPExtended' Application, both the new WIFIRemote and MPExtended are required for the latest version of AMPdroid to allow it to control MP and Give it access to the MP databases.

Not sure which one is causing the problem with VC.

Hopefully im not just being a fool and got something in a pickle but it's stopped working when I updated these so I'm assuming it's connected in some way.

Feature Requests / Support for Mediaportal default video database

Many people use the default mediaportal video section and not Movingpicture or MyFilms plugins for their movies, I myself use it for my Stand up comedy DVD's as it keeps them separate from movies and TV shows so would be nice to be able to use this in a similar way to moving pictures.

Assuming Mediaportal makes it possible.

ltfearme has released the official 3.2.0 version on MP-TVSeries which includes the load parameter update, not sure if it's improved since the version we have here but everyone should use the officail as it probably has other changes too.

TVSeries v3.2.0 Change Log

    * Added support to directly load into series via loading parameters.

    * Added MyTorrents search for selected series/episodes. Thanks edalex86.

    * Added NZB Search via mpNZB plugin.

    * Added Movies search on Actor from Actors window, requires MovingPictures 1.3.0+.

    * Added 'Add to Custom List' in Trakt context menu entry.

    * Added checking for unique import paths.This will prevent users encountering an error when navigating in ImportWizard.

    * Fixed duplicate action for EpisodeCounts during import.

    * Fixed ImportWizard not being able to identify episodes even though they are online. Cache was not being cleared before this action.

MediaPortal / Play song X multi choice shows song ID

When I use command 'play song X' and it finds several similar songs in my database VC pops up the possible options but it only shows the song ID numbers, obviously I don't know which song is which from that, is it possible to have the options come up to show the full song title and even better with the artist as well?

MediaPortal / side effects of using load parameter with TvSeries

Im on win7 64 activate window is fine now.

i get the impression that your load perameter calls are a lot worse than mine, or maybe your just use to it being a lot smoother on XBMC, could it maybe worse on certain layouts? like more glitchy on say thumbnail view than filmstrip view?

Ive not had any crashes or incorrect graphical bugs as such. one annoying thing i do have though is after using the command "find tv show X" i'm locked into that show, if i return to home screen and select tvshows from the remote it goes straight back into that series and I cannot go back, can only go to home with the remote, to unlock all tv shows again the only way is to use the command "browse tv shows"

General Discussion / Anyone been following CES this year?

Some great new stuff there, main focus seems to be on TV's, laptops and tablets this year. With very little focus on 3D, seems interest is dying out on that already.

Main focus of TV's was LED, OLED, with Plasmas taking a back seat, Sony had an awesome new tech 'Crystal LED' with each pixel being lit by it's own red, green and blue LED totalling 6 million LED backlight.



LG have gone in the same direction as Samsung this year with tiny bezels as small as just 1mm, looks really nice but my Samsung with a 5mm bezel suffers from some light bleed at the bottom so would be interesting to see what it's like on a 1mm bezel.

Samsung not really showing of much new stuff, just updating last years models really with black bezels instead of silver and adding more powerful processors and cameras and mics built in although their Super OLED could well be my next TV. No info on release but some manufactures said to releasing OLED in second part of 2012 so Samsung surely wont want to be far behind.

Panasonic showing of practically nothing at all

Samsung, LG, Sharp and Toshiba with 4K TV's, LG releasing theirs end of the year and Samsung not releasing due to no 4K content.

All of them still making a fuss about Smart TV and Google TV



Last year I bought the Samsung 40D7000 Smart 3D TV and already looking like a vintage box

Personally cant see what the fuss is around Smart TV, last year Samsungs Smart TV was reviewed to be the best of the bunch but in my opinion its crap, its slow with bad navigation and I can't see why anyone would choose to use any of it on a TV over a PC, unless they didnt have a PC, but if they didn't have a PC they probably wouldnit have internet rendering Smart TV useless.

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Turn up Microsoft Anna?

Does anyone know if you can turn up the volums of Microsoft Anna?
I cant find an option, I have windows set to attenuate volume by 80% but I still can't hear her over the music unless I set playback volume to about 20% which then it still attenuates to 80% of that before she is audible.

Read in another thread someone wanted to turn her down and he was told you can use TTS.setvolume to change the volume but it also stated it is already at 100% by default.
