General Discussion / EULA On Start Up

Just turned computer on and launched VC. Instead of VC launching to my custom configuration I get the pop up below. Running VC 1.1.9.1 on Windows 8.1. I noticed also it does not give me an option to select a preconfigured set up.

Has anyone heard of or used the Iris Home Automation system from Lowes? I was wondering if it would work with VC? It has a reasonable price tag. If not what home automation would be a start for someone on a really tight budget? I just want to control 2 or 3 lights and my AV receiver and TV.

How do I or is there a way to edit this command to get VC to read out loud the first several lines of the page that is pulled up when doing a lucky search? Actually I am trying to accomplish something like in the video below. Starting at about the 47 second mark.

General Discussion / Off to On Status

I have noticed that VC goes from off (red) to on (green) on it's own. With my surroundings totally quiet and VC minimized. Anyone know of a reason this might be happening?

General Discussion / Push To Talk?

This may have been asked before but I could not find an answer. I was wondering if there is a way to assign a button on the keyboard as like a push to talk button. Make it with the ducking feature like I have set up with voxwav. This would be handy when I am just doing web stuff on my laptop. So I could push say the alt key or function key along with another key and have my music mute until I release whatever buttons I assign? Does this make sense? I tried to explain the best I could.

Other Plugins / Displaying phrase instead of value

I have my facebook account connected to my skype account. VC history shows when someone either goes off line or comes on line but it displays the value (I think) instead of the persons actual name. Is there any way to change this? I would post a screen shot for you but I have no clue how. I see there is no upload button so I would imagine there is a different way here of uploading things.

General Discussion / Media Monkey vs XBMC

I have two folder on my desktop. One folder is the xbmc configuration of VC in it. The other folder has media monkey configuration in it. For some reason media monkey seems to accept commands a lot better than the xbmc set up. I am using the voxwv app. using version 1.1.1.9 VC. I'm not sure but it seems as if it takes a little more confidence for xbmc to execute on any commands given.

Is it possible to have private messages from facebook read aloud to you? Also is there a way to reply to the facebook message using dictation? If so can this also be done with gmail?

VoxCommando Basics and Core Features / Auto Login To Web Site

As you guys know I am kind of new o VC. I recently was able to set VC to automatically log into certain web sites. However I can only do it with sites that already have the user name and log in fields displayed. I am not able to figure out how to log into a page that you must actually click "log in" first then enter your user name and password. Any place I can find this information?

VoxWav Free and VoxWav Pro / voxwav error

I just installed VC on my fiances computer. Everything is setup and working fine except when I give just 2 or 3 commands using voxwav i get two error messages on the phone screen. They are listed below.

error recording audio

unable to access the audio recording hardware

tcp error

could not establish connection to 192.168.2.9 port 3333

We are using VC version 1.1.9.1
Computer has windows 7 installed
Phone is android version 2.3.6 running gingerbread
Model is sch-r720
