General Discussion / Re: Push To Talk?
« on: April 23, 2014, 11:51:04 PM »
I take online college classes and listen to music at the same time both from my laptop. I just would like to be able to push a button or something to temporarily mute the music so i can issue a command. I guess I could use voxwav but just trying to find something a little more convenient since my fingers are already on the keyboard.

General Discussion / Push To Talk?
« on: April 23, 2014, 11:00:11 PM »
This may have been asked before but I could not find an answer. I was wondering if there is a way to assign a button on the keyboard as like a push to talk button. Make it with the ducking feature like I have set up with voxwav. This would be handy when I am just doing web stuff on my laptop. So I could push say the alt key or function key along with another key and have my music mute until I release whatever buttons I assign? Does this make sense? I tried to explain the best I could.

Thanks to all of you folks!

Sorry James. NO I did not. Holiday's around a bunch of loud mouths driving me a little crazy. I did copy and paste it to my tree though and all is good now. Thanks a lot man. I truly appreciate it.

Hey James. I replaced the dll file. VC history is now showing the real name / full name as payload 4 just like you said. I drug an even showing online into the edit tree and set it up as TTS.Speak {4} is {3} with {3} being the "online" payload. I am probably wrong but I though that with this that anyone who comes online would trigger the command to tell me that the particular person is now online? Is this possible or did I just do something wrong?

I could be wrong but I think in the video James is using VC2 with the bluetooth mic.

I have my facebook account connected to my skype account. VC history shows when someone either goes off line or comes on line but it displays the value (I think) instead of the persons actual name. Is there any way to change this? I would post a screen shot for you but I have no clue how. I see there is no upload button so I would imagine there is a different way here of uploading things.

Who knows.... Using same thing as you. Window with google voice is in focus. I give the command and nothing happens. I physically push the esc key and the call ends.

Inputkeys.Send {ESCAPE}

if you use the parameter helper then you won't need to guess.

Hi James,

Inputkeys.Send {ESCAPE} is what I tried. Not working for me for some reason though. I am trying to use to to end calls using google voice.

Can anyone tell me how to emulate the escape key? I have tried InputKeys.Send {ESC} InputKeys.Send {ESCAPE} SendKeys {ESC} and SendKeys {ESCAPE}

General Discussion / Re: Media Monkey vs XBMC
« on: April 17, 2014, 09:09:35 PM »
It is working like a charm, Kalle. I did have to add the * in one of the actions though. That is all I had to do though. I really appreciate it. I am catching on. Trying to figure out weather now. Going to watch the video James has on youtube tonight. Also changed the settings for the voxmic as you and James suggested Kalle. It is working like a charm as well. Being a rookie I of course still have a long VC road ahead.

Much appreciated guys and gal. I say gal instead of gals because I think Naomi is the only female here isn't she?

It depends absolutely on your android device, but I have the best results with the "VOICE_RECOGNITION" setting. A really important setting is in the TcpMic plugin in VC, take a look at this page http://voxwav.wikispaces.com/Other+Settings on "Adjust Volume" checkbox. The wave-form, which you can see in the image is perfect - I have adjust the "Adjust Volume" to 30% which works in my case best, but this depends also at the mic quality in your android device.

Thanks Mr. Kalle! I will try those settings and see what works best. What I would really like to do is be able to just run a configuration that combines both xbmc and media monkey. I have an idea of how that would work by enabling and disabling groups. Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to set something like this up?

Thanks!
