SKIN AEON MQ 2 - NEW VERSION 2.7.0 - soon

I want to make a special thanks to Wanilton (official beta tester) for their help in preparing the skin. A person always contributing good ideas. Thank you for everything!
I want to say thank you to all translators who helped to make the skin better.

News in version 2.7.0:

- Ways to use - you want a lighter skin or want a skin with more features? Just press a button! Select a mode of performance that the skin will configure itself to provide exactly what you need. Version 2.7.0 can be used for light-users or heavy-users:

- Main Menu improved, now with a new default style, Darkness, and the new 'mini-menu that will assist in navigation. Did not like the style, just change the Menu Style, very simple. Did not like the new theme, do not worry, just download one of six theme options available.

- New view mode Banner and Banner2' for tvshows.

- New Media Cases, Blu Ray, HD-DVD and others to leave his collection more beautiful and more organized.

- Support Clearart, Logo, and fanart for seasons.

- I would use the mouse to control your media? Now you can! All audio and video menus can be controlled by mouse.

- New audio controls in the main menu and also the new media control with Cdart support, repeat and random buttons, just press 'M', on any screen.

- Back the new Weather.plus, where you can get data for 4 days, 7 days, weekend and is still more ... now support the style and colors.
and a lot of adjustments and implementations that have been made to requests from users.

Summary of functions of the skin:

- Compact Mode - In this mode, only items already in the main menu may be customised. If you do not need new menus, or want the fastest browsing experience, select this mode.

-Normal Mode - In this mode, the skin allows for up to 7 new menus and 35 custom submenus. For a good balance of customisation and browsing speed, select this mode.

-Full Mode - In this mode, the skin allows for up to 35 new menus and new 310 custom submenus. If you need the greatest amount of customisation, select this mode.

- Styles; Choose a different style to the menu bar and the icon of the last added, are three different types as well as 11 colors available.

- Supports multiple plugins such as Apple Movie Trailers, TVtunes, Cinema Experience, CULyrics, LRCLyrics, XBMC subtitles among others.

- Updater - Exclusive Update mode to make small corrections quickly and conveniently than the Addon Repository itself to complete updates.

New - Menu Layout for audio and video, including new buttons for audio and Random Repeat - now supports the use of mouse.
New - Mini Menu - a menu that helps navigation in the Main Menu.
New - Support Weather.plus.
New Background for Movies and Shutdown Main Menu.

Correction - Image VIDEOS on the main menu with black bars on the sides.
Correction - Fade Fanart in collections.
Correction - Laytout Short List mode.

Change- Updater off by default.
Change - removal of the Logoff menu Main Menu.

and several more minor fixes.

More themes available: - There are 6 different themes for you to manually install with just one click.

- Theme Light + images Digital Art
- Theme Light + images Cold Colors
- Theme Light + images Warm Colors
- Theme Dark + images Digital Art
- Theme Dark + images Cold Colors
- Theme Dark + images Warm Colors

Please read this carefully before attempting to upgrade your current version.

Before installing a new version of XBMC deletes the previous version of the skin, but because this skin is being used it can only delete half of it, what happens?
Not always the anterior skin is removed correctly if this happens you will see only a black screen. Do not worry just install again using a different skin.

Open XBMC change to Confluence, go to System> Add-ons and then yes install the Aeon MQ 2.7.0 by ZIP option.
Doing so has no error.

Here we go, how to install:

Download the new repository and install the Add-ons> Install via ZIP.
Then select Get Add-ons, choose Repo Aeon MQ> Skin and select Install.
At the end of the download is normal to get a black screen for a few seconds, this is a feature of XBMC Dharma 10.
If an error occurs just install again.
This version does not overlap the previous version.

How to update:

This skin has two ways of updating:

1 - Updater, it only refreshes the revision of the skin.
The check for updates is always done after 1 minute you open the skin and then every 6 hours with the skin open.
A popup appears informing the update and then reboot to be able to apply the changes.

2 - Repo add-on, like the other add-ons updates the skin when complete, will be used only when you have a new version of the skin.

How to install the themes: - additional themes are just, the download is optional

Download one of the theme files (they are self-extracting file)
Execute the file (i.e. double-click) and it will unzip the theme files to the correct location on your hard drive.
Run xbmc, open skin SETTINGS > APPEARANCE and select the theme.

Don't forget that after you delete guisettings.xml, you will probably need to go into XBMC network settings to restore settings so that VC can control XBMC. Enable webserver, set your port to 8080 and set username and password.

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay, today was not a good day for me (headaches), but I must honor my commitment, then:

Version 2.7.0 Revision 98 available

How to upgrade?

1. - Go to Add-ons> Setup> and check "Enable automatic Skin Updates".
2. - Restart XBMC and wait for more than 1 minute.
3. - If the update was completed successfully you will be prompted to restart XBMC.

Ps. After updating you can turn off the updater again, no need to have it always running.

How to check what your current version and revision?

Main Menu> Settings> sub-menu system info.
At the bottom of the screen you will see the current version and revision.

CHANGELOG revision 98:

- New ShowCase for video and audio, lighter and better (without media cases for now).
- The color change system main menu will be changed. In the new mode, each change needs to reload the skin, a brief pause that takes only a few 4s. Not as elegant as the current but xmls will get smaller and the skin faster.
- Add option to turn off MediaCase in VideoInfo.
- Missing song titles in recent menu.
- Trailer button with overlay.
- Logo overlay on the LowList Mode.
- No picture on the Mini-Menu (menu navigation) using the clock at the top.
- Unable to change the display mode for Shows.
- Case of HD-DVD does not appear in the LowList.
- Overlap mini player while running a video on the main menu.
- Overlap mini menu + mini player.
- VideoInfo showing the cover warped.
- Date/Time not being properly view in mode Wall.
- Increase field status for the library of 1000 + items.
- Missing progress bar - pauses and info in some cases.
- TV-rating flag overlapping Source flag.
- Side Menu outside the position if toggle the media menu animation.
- Unable to select the functions of window scraper-artists.

If something was missing do not worry, keep working to meet the request of all, the best way possible.

Skin AeonMQ 2.7.1- Next Sunday (03/13)

New - Some structural changes and the skin is faster than ever - less delay, fewer slowdowns.
New - New view modes Showcase and Multiplex finalized, faster and better.
New - Mode Pro -for those who prefer the skin in its original form.
New - Menu and sub-menu "Cinema", in order to access the script Cinema Experience directly from the main menu.
New - Menu PseudoTV, a programming guide for your collection.
New - Weather Plus - maps and alerts.

New implementations, given the requests:
- button to turn off the headings.
- button to play the trailer in full screen.
- button to turn off the audio controls on the main menu.
- navigation controls in the enhanced audio, you can now access the menu using the keyboard.
- Case Bluray in light blue.
- Case default in copper (sorry, but purple is not in harmony with the tone of the skin).

and several more bug fixes.

Next week I'll have 2 new ZOTAC Zbox boxes to installed xbmc on

I'll be testing new open air microphone with vox also, it's gonna be lots of fun and lots of new stuff the next few weeks

PS : Also my new Nissan Qashqai 2011 car next week, weeee :p

James and friends, I used now XBMC version 11.0 (eden), look bellow for download, this is very stable..one details, this update change fields in database, this only for braves.

Nightly builds will update your libraries to a version that is not backwards-compatible with Dharma. Backup first!

The skin AeonMQ 2.7 and vox is compatible with this new version XBMC version 11.0, have all support for API HTTP.

I've been using for some days without problems.

More Info version 10.1:
While we are moving quickly to get new features into 11.0, the time has come for a maintenance release for Dharma. We recommend that all users update to 10.1 as soon as possible to increase stability.

Are implementing improvements, it is clear that even this very next version of Dharma, but the updated audio and video codecs, so you'd expect an improvement in video and sound. Everything evolves, I think it is too early for most to migrate to version 11, only posted for others to know that exists and is an official version, even at an early stage, without having lost the resources already available in version Dharma. And really can not turn back, without having to uninstall everything and install again to 10.1, having to rebuild the libraries again, one by one, if it acts any regrets you have installed the new version. The migration process was ok for me, no problem, but I am a tester by nature, so this is a personal decision.

I think I found a bug in the skin, could you test for me and confirm ?

When in a movie, press SPACE to pause the movie, Now press the arrowkeys back or forward to skip back or forth in the playback, wait a few seconds and press forward, the playback will now go backwards instead of forward, it happends to me alot but not always so try and trigger it in the pause screen going back and forth and then forth to go backwards

It's weird :p

Delete previous version skin AeonMQ2, and unzip here, idem for addon pack:
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons

go to c:\ (or whatever your windows drive is)
go to Users
Go to "Your username" folder
In this folder is your appdata folder, but you wont see it cos its hidden, so press ALT, click tool, the folder options on the menu bar, click the view tab and check the box that says "show hidden files and folders", click ok and go out of that.
Now you should see appdata in the list.
Open Appdata
Open Roaming
Open XBMC
unzip the pack in folder addons
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons

Replace yourusername by your name, in my case
C:\Users\Wanilton\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons

Wanilton, I don't mind if you post news about Aeon MQ2 here because I know that people are interested in it. But if you are reposting information that already exists on the XBMC forum, or on some other site, then I think a short post with a link to the original information would be better.

I am not against any posts in theory, but I don't want the forum to be so full of non-VC posts that it becomes difficult to find the good information.

I don't mean to give anyone a hard time about it though.
