General Discussion / Voice recognition in Flightsimulator

Hi Guys.

I asked me, can VC act as a virtual Co Pilot on Flight Simulators for me?
For example:
I say a command: "Gear up" ---- copilot readsback "Gear up" and presses the Key for Landing Gear (G)
Thats what looks still easy. How can I tell my Copilot to set the Flaps to 15?
or:
- Fly heading 140
- climb to 15000 feet
- descent to 4000 feet
- increase climbrate
- Speed: 250 knots

If anybody knows Microsoft Flight Simulator try the PMDG Boeing 737 NG, there are many many more functions, I´d like to realyze with VC.
- Set Seatbelts to Auto
- Start APU
...

Can anybody help?

Does VC say: "ready!" ?
Thats what my VC 0.851 does too.    
I have to wait about 1 minute. Then VC understands my commands, and is really ready ^^

Or does it understand commands with (xy.z%)? <-- thats how sure VC is, that it understood your command.
Try the TellVoxCommando Programm, you will find it in the Folder of VC.  
Type in the commands and send them to VC. When it works, we will have to concentrate to your Mike setup.

Good Job Guys. You solved the problem.

Deleting Override Prefix was the solution for me too.
That explains, why most commands worked with prefix, and the commands from the Group "MM Basic" did not work on prefix mode.

Now everything works fine.

0.851 testing is planned for tomorrow  ;)

Ok, now I am totally confused  ??? ??? ???

Prefix works with almost every Command.

Except Pause and Play Commands.

I changed the Phrases to "Pause, unterbrechen, halt" and "Play, weiter gehts, kann losgehen, kann wieder losgehen" , as you can see in the my voicecommands.xml:

Play and Pause work on green mode, but not on yellow Mode with prefix.

I can confirm Kalles Proplem with Prefix Mode.

It definitely does not work in the 0.845 Version.
I tryed to use several Prefixes. For Example: "monkey" (restarted VC)
In yellow Mode VC understands "monkey play" (80%) (MM is already running), but it is not doing anything. ???


In further Versions the Prefix Mode worked fine.

Versuch mal oben MM.Pause
unten MM.Play

Das hört , bzw. "Fühlt" sich an, als würde für die TTS Musik die Lautstärke gefadet.
Find ich auch eine recht elegante Lösung.

Aber das ist doch im Grunde das gleiche.

Ob Du nun eine Payload Range von 0-100 angibst, oder festlegst, dass es nur in 10er Schritten geht.

Wenn ich sage: "Set Rating 90" <-- die kannst Du sogar in deutsch aussprechen (neunzig)
erhält das Musikstück auch 90%.

Naja egal. Haupsache es funktioniert. Happy Rating ;)

All I did was pause mediamonkey, do the tts and then unpause.  You can do the same thing now directly in VoxCommando.

It is time to learn how to use the command builder if you don't already know how!  Do you want to take a shot at it, or do you want step by step instructions?

I could also send you an xml file, but that is less fun and you won't learn as much...
 ;D


I tryed to pause MM. Please see the attachment.
What happens is: MM pauses for a ms, and plays again. What can I do, to let the pause time last as long, as tts speaks?

I´m afraid my english is a bit rusty.  Hope you know what I mean  ;)

I am pretty familiar with the command editor now.
Learning by doing.  ;D

Some youtube Tutorials helped me a lot.

But I can´t find some important commands in it.
For example:
- quit a program
- minimize a program

The computer mutes the music for the time, when TTS talks.

My wishes in the next Versions:

- users can change the size and the color of the OSD Font in the options
- users can adjust the volume of the tts in the options
- a Checkbox : TTS Talkover
  activated: The Music mutes for the time, when TTS speaks
  

What do you think about it?

Ich habe das folgendermaßen bei mir gelöst:

- Neue "Command Group" erstellen: Name: Set Rating
Command           Parameters
MM.SetRating       {1}
TTS.Speak           Rating set to {1}   <--- Damit bekommst Du eine akustische Bestätigung, dass das Rating auf Wert X gesetzt wurde


- Neue Phrase erstellen "Set Rating" (oder wie auch immer Du willst)
- Payload erstellen mit den Werten "0,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100"


Funktioniert wunderbar.

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich VC gefunden. Das Programm funktioniert grundsätzlich sehr gut.
Leider habe ich folgendes Problem:

Wenn Media Monkey Musik abspielt, kann VC mich nicht mehr verstehen, weil das Mikrofon die vom Computer abgespielte Musik mit aufnimmt. So ist es fast unmöglich während des Abspielens von Musik weitere Sprachbefehle zu geben. Nicht mal "ignore me" wird mehr zuverlässig erkannt.

Ich benutze Windows Vista
Soundkarte: Realtek 5.1 onboard (neuster Treiber installiert)
Mikrofon: Bluetooth Headset

Gibt es irgendwie die Möglichkeit einzustellen, dass das Mikrofon die Sounds, die aus den Lautsprechern kommen ignoriert, und nur mich hört?

I discovered VC a few days ago. Basicly the program works great.
Unfortunatly i have a problem:

When media Monkey plays some Music, VC can`t understand me anymore, because the Microphone is also listening to the Music. It is almost impossible to give spoken orders to the computer, while it plays music. Even the "ignore me" order does not work dependably anymore.

I am using Windows Vista
Soundcard: Realtek 5.1 onboard (latest Driver installed)
Microphone: Bluetooth Headset

Are there any settings available to let the Microphone ignore the sounds from the speakers, to let the Microphone only listen to me, instead of me and the speakers?
