Just found the alpha release.  I'll start playing around with it and report any issues if I find any.   Thanks for the continued development.

One solution one of the devs over at homeseer is using for weather is Darksky.  https://darksky.net/dev  Not sure if this is something of interest or possibility here.

General Discussion / Re: homeseer plugin in alpha to work with Vera

It is easier for the non-techie people.  The hardest part is using Vera.setstate to control the virtual switch in vera.  I will give the plugin time to mature before I say anything.

I have VC setup to control things in homeseer now. The middleman is vera.  If anyone is interested in how, let me know.  Really easy using virtual switches.

edit:  Using virtual switches can trigger vc only commands.  I set up a virtual switch that can turn on red alert.  So it is a sort of 2 way communication.

I have figured out the cleanest way (that i know of) to use VC with homeseer,  do you mind if i let the HS crowd know that they a new option for voice control?

I have switched to homeseer.  I am hoping to use vox still for voice commands.  Even if it means using virtual devices in vera to trigger things in hs.
Hstouch uses google translate and it is very limited in use (and currently broken).  Same with the imperihome implementation (not broken).  Getting a natural pattern of giving voice commands in HS requires either setting up kinects, things like the revolabs xtag, xap800 like equipment, or windows tablets/pcs.  Your android/wear client is perfect and easier to deploy.
I tried the solutions that was posted here to use vc and homeseer, but the project has been stagnant, and it still has to many limitations.
And in all honesty, some of the things that Vc can do (gmail/calendar, kodi, hue) cost money in the hs side of house.  If vera will be able to be a middle man and talk back to vc, then i spent money i wish i didn't on plugins.

Just saw this on the homeseer site  https://forums.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=196052
I will be testing this and hoping that VC will work.

Kalle,
I actually watched the video the other night which lead to my research. Insomnia, your video and ebay ftw.
I received the executive hd today. Unfortunately it did not come with the 3.5 mini phoenix connectors.  I do not have any on hand so I won't have this up and going until next week.

Kalle,  Thanks for pointing this out.  I did some research and found a used revolabs executive hd 4 channel on ebay for around $120.  I still have my cables and usb sound card from the ap800 days and I am going to give it a try.  It should be here tomorrow and I will hopefully know if it works by the end of the weekend.

Official 2.0 out for the Huawei watch is out. If running the 2.0 previews, you need to unpair the watch, then go through the motions again. Once paired, check for updates. You'll need to basically go through the same motions of repairing after the update.
Since both voxwear and 2.0 have been beta, i haven't said much. I'll start my opinions now. (So far so good, by the way)

Thanks for the info.  I saw the app in the store from my pc's browser.  If i run into any strange issues, i'll let you know.

Hopefully my reburbished huawei watch will be in friday for testing this.  Thanks James and Nime5ter for working on this.

Another option, but more so a works with vera solution, is the harmony home hubs.  Not sure how will they would work with the android boxes (my hubs do see the original firetv).   It is easy enough to tie vc to a vera scene once setup.

Integration Ideas / Re: My custom doorbell. vc+vera

Good thing that's a green button. I'm guessing visitors would find a red button too daunting to mess with. :)

I don't know how reliable it would be, but I think the piezo knocker project would be a fun experiment as an intro to Arduino + VC.

This: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/KnockSensor

Plus some of the code from James's 2-way communication example:

http://voxcommando.com/forum/index.php?topic=1452.msg12742#msg12742

Not sure about power supply (and wireless communication) for real-world use though.

Now that I am playing with arduino and mysensors, I am going to work on the knock sensor.  I should have a working prototype by sunday.
